"This host is extremely welcoming and goes out of her way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Lots of great amenities. We loved the pool! The hot tub, fire pit, grill, and lake view were all enjoyed. She has kayaks available to guests to use on the lake which was awesome."

"This was the first time my family and I stayed in this property. It was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t be any better. It was near the end of a peninsula. The neighborhood was quiet. The waterways were quiet. It was not overcrowded on any spectrum. We had our own private little beach area. We stayed outside 90% of the time on the back porch. We cooked our meals and brought them all outside because it was so nice. The view was amazing all the downstairs rooms have open doors to the back porch. The upstairs room is a solid wall of windows overlooking the lake. Views are absolutely stunning. The host was amazing. Answered all of our questions in a very efficient amount of time. If there were 10 stars, I’d give this place 10 stars. The host even communicated some plans to make the property even more amazing and appealing. I would recommend this property 100%."

"Had a great time here. The back porch is so fun - amazing view, a resident singing mockingbird, and a deer and her fawn coming through for breakfast every morning. Super comfy beds. My only complaint is that the twin bed is not in an office like the listing says. The mattress is in one room and the bedframe is in another and the bedding is somewhere in a closet (never found the twin sheets among the dozens of linens). You have to assemble it all in the living room. I’d give it five stars if we knew that’s what we were getting."

"The room was clean and had everything we needed. The only real issue was operating the air conditioner. There seemed to be three settings: cool, heat, and dry. It was on "dry" when we arrived and it was very cold in the room. Changing the temperature setting did not make a difference. I tried switching to "cool" which did make it less frigid, but it also weirdly made the room feel more humid. We were never able to get it adjusted to a comfortable setting. During the night I changed it back to the "dry" setting to make things less humid, but despite setting the temperature setting to 72, when we got up in the morning the room temperature was actually at 55 degrees. Though the beds were comfortable, there just wasn't a heavy enough comforter or blanket to keep you warm and able to sleep."

"Property is great, getting to the water could be a little challenging for anyone with mobility issues. The yard is covered with stickers so be prepared. Beds were very nice and exceeded our previous experiences at other properties. There is no internet as disclosed in the description and cell service is spotty. The neighbors put on a great fireworks display and all in all a wonderful place."

"Absolutely beautiful property filled with peace and history! Just lounging in the cabin and on the porch with the animals was worth it but the pool was just amazing and super clean. Hope to go back soon for another restful weekend."

"We had such a good time staying at the vista cottage! It was perfect for our family of 8, including a 6 year old, 4 year old and 3 month old. Highly recommend the grounds tour to see the animals and feed the giraffes and rhino. We had a great time fishing the stocked pond and swimming in the pool. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience! Ty was a responsive host and Kourtney was helpful as well."
