“The property was pretty clean but the inside needs maintanence. Doors don’t close, not enough pots and pans, dirty curtains, loose legs on the kitchen table, fire place didn’t work, broken light bulbs, the outside wasn’t bad except that the road desperately needs to be replaced. The potholes are huge!! Staff was nice but the sign said to check in on the other side and the door was padlocked shut. It wasn’t easy to know what that meant. They should have said a more direct location. I had to call……

“We needed a place for a few days/nights so that our family could be close and together while my wife had surgery at Ruby Memorial. The location fit our needs well. It gave us a temporary home base away from home that helped our kids have some normalcy and fun while mom was going through a hard time.”

“We were there for our granddaughter’s wedding at Adaland Mansion. This was a convenient location for traveling to and from the event. The house was beautifully decorated and very roomy for a large family. Everything was clean and comfortable. The rain kept us from enjoying the outdoors but there was lots of room for outdoor sitting and grilling. Sherry is an exceptionally good host. I would recommend the riverfront home to anyone traveling to that area.”

“We loved our stay! The property was perfect for the two of us and our dog. Great nearby places to eat. We never did find the recommended grocery store but we did find another. lol. Would 100% stay here again.”

“It's a nice place, kitchen has everything you need, plenty of room for 4 adults + some kids. Good luck finding a better spot with a WV back country woods off a beautiful deck. Minor cons: WIFI is incredibly slow an will go out completely with clouds. Going up stairs can be challenging if you are over 5 foot. Check-in process needs an updated lock box.”

“This was a fun and unique place to stay at. It was all on one floor primarily so there wasn't a need to climb the spiral staircase, thankfully. The hot tub was perfect and the beds were comfy.”

“This is an adorable clean cottage with good amenities. Located near Suncrest shopping center that has all kinds of shops and eateries plus a large grocery store. The only negatives (but not enough to change my rating) the roads to get to house are like back alleys that are wide enough for one car. Plus there is very little lawn for outside activities, but two great porches.”

“We were in the area for a baseball tournament at West VA University. This was a great, quiet, peaceful location!”

“Very peaceful and quiet. Not something we are used to. Probably different when there’s a game in town or more college kids. But we came way after the season of both. Loved the house and will stay again when we come again.”

“The house was a little hard to find the first day but we were fine getting around after that. We were welcomed by Sharon, who couldn’t have been more helpful. The house is very nice. It had everything we needed. The views were amazing and we loved just sitting on the front porch watching the river.”

“Weekend stay ,excellent property ,quaint town with friendly people .our dog loved the water .the only negative is that the direction link we were given was inaccurate which added an additional 2 hours to our trip .otherwise it was perfect ,we would certainly go again .”
