“We had a beautiful and comfortable stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful, we were able to check in smoothly after hours. The room was spotless, the breakfast was delicious, the views at the lake were serene and splendid. North Hero showed us a different kind of Vermont, we were fortunate to have discovered this side of it. We would love to stay there again!”

“great breakfast”

“Super clean and awesome living space, and having lake access to beach a small boat was very nice. Close access to a public boat ramp was also key for me. To be clear, the living space itself is across the nil-traffic road, so you have to walk over to the beach and dock to have coffee on the lakeshore. Owners were super nice and very helpful.”

“We had a great time, just be prepared for a rustic experience. The views are spectacular, you're right on the lake and its a nice, quiet area. Having to bring drinkable water is a minus, but it didn't stop us from having a good time. We would stay there again.”

“This could be a top-rated stay but there are a few major negatives.Pros: The listing in terms of the site and access to water is accurate. The area is beautiful! And there is plenty of room for 4 adults to move around in comfort. The back porch is nice and there is a sizeable back yard for those who bring dogs. The beach is steps away from the house and we enjoyed swimming there. Cons: Firstly, the listing states that water is drawn from the lake. We have stayed at other places which do the same……

“Nice place to stay!”

“Wonderful place for vacation.look forward to repeat stay!”

“The "camp" (i.e., house) was comfortable for the five of us. The open layout between the kitchen, dining, and living room was really nice for all of us to be able to hang out together. There's a half bath I didn't realize it had, which was definitely a bonus! The lake view and yard were wonderful. It was pretty windy during our stay, but we did get to go out kayaking one of the days. Given that it's a lake, the water was surprisingly clear, though chilly, while we were there and also very……

“Great location. Clean, quiet.”

“Cute little place to stay very close to lake. Plenty of parking for a boat. Very quiet.”

“Great house with beautiful views and good location on the water. It was a sizable property big enough for two families! We loved hanging out on the deck and our dogs loved the water! The dock/beach area of the property isn’t the best for swimming however - we went to Alburgh Dunes State Park that had an excellent beach and was just a short drive from the house. We were also able to rent a pontoon that was so much fun! Great host with recommendations on the pontoon rental and super easy check……

“The house and property was well maintained and clean. A relaxing place. One could view the lake from the dining room table - it was lovely and peaceful. A great place for relaxing and resting with lots of amenities. A good choice for our week's stay.”

“The cottage was very clean, beautiful spot!”

“The stay was great! Wonderful sunsets with herons in their natural setting. Would stay there again.”

“Perfect spot. Recommend.”

“This was our second time staying at Don and Perky’s cottage, and it certainly won’t be our last! We had another absolutely wonderful stay. The cottage is immaculately kept and well-equipped with everything you could need. Outside, the lake is beautiful, we especially enjoyed the stunning sunsets. Perky’s gardens are also very beautiful and add a lot to this charming property.A massive bonus for us, the property is pet-friendly. Finding high-quality, pristine rentals that welcome pets can be……
