Child friendly and felt like home
What a fun spot to spend time! This house was perfect for our extended family to gather for the holiday weekend. It is close to Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, and to multiple lakes which provides lots of things to do outside and the home has multiple spots to gather inside so we could spread out. The hot tub allowed us to watch the snow fall and the fireplace let us warm up afterwards. Our host responded quickly to any questions that came up and was very helpful. I highly recommend considering staying here!

Awesome getaway!
It was a great time had by our family of 14 and 2 dogs. The house was plenty big enough for us all to spread out, the back deck was wonderful to sit and relax morning and evening and the hot tub was perfect! The area was nice and quit to enjoy the outdoors. The kids like the playground area as well. If we come to the area again we would stay here. Thank you for having us Katie!

Amazing
We came to spread my Mother In Laws ashes so the rip was a little emotional. Everything about this home was amazing, plenty of room, very welcoming. Made the whole trip and process easier. Something I missed about Colorado was being able to sit on the porch and look at the beautiful view and I was able to sit on the back deck and drink my coffee and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I hope and pray that I am able to visit this home agasin.

Restful Retreat in Grand Lake
Katie’s home had more than ample room for all of us to spread out. Quite clean and tidy. The hot tub was great for the evenings. We loved the short drive to Grand Lake. This small town has its own character, is very community orientated, and is not overrun by commercial enterprises that you might expect. We struck gold in the Rockies by choosing this location.

Loved staying here! Took my daughter and her husband for a weekend getaway for her birthday and this was perfect. The house was very spacious, deck was amazing for all day use, night star gazing spectacular!

Amazing Family House
This was a wonderful place to stay with family. The cabin accommodated 3 separate families, two with toddlers. There were tons of games and toys for the kids. They loved the playground! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could ever want or need, including kids’ plates, utensils, and seating. The fire pit was incredible. We made many memories while making s’mores. Adult and kid sized picnic tables. The location was awesome with tons of wildlife. So close to the town and National Park. Katie was very helpful and accommodating. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer. We will be back for sure.

Grand Lake Experience
Our time in Grand Lake and staying at Katie's Place could not have been better. The pictures of Katie's Place actually do not do it justice. Even better than expected. Very accomodating, with lots of amenities. Plenty of space for our family of 7. Loved the hot tub and fire pit. The check-in process was very smooth and Katie was very communicative. Grand Lake is a wonderful little town to experience and of course Rocky Mountain National Park is incredible. We would definitely stay at Katie's Place again.

This house was very roomy and comfortable! We were able to see a mama and baby moose just outside the fence. 😍 The house is super close to Grand Lake and Rocky Mtn NP. We enjoyed staying here.

Warm and cozy cabin
Cabin was big enough to fit 14 of us. Quiet neighborhood with nice view of the lake and hiking trail 5 minutes away. We got a nice basket upon arrival. The cabin is fully stocked with everything we needed (extra blankets, sheets, towels).

Amazing cabin in the perfect location
Friends and I go on an annual hiking trip and we chose RMNP this year. This cabin had the amenities we wanted. We were 8 guys and we were SUPER comfortable with the cabin. Beds were comfy, space was cozy, it was really clean, spacious, hot tub was AWESOME! We were about 12 min from the entrance to RMNP. So many gorgeous trails around. This cabin is highly recommended if you're coming to RMNP and have a group of 6-10 people

Amazing outdoor space
Our family has taken several summer vacations to the RMNP area and this property has had the best outdoor space by far. The deck is spacious with lots of seating, gas fire pit table, grill, and hot tub. Would be nice if there were a clear view of the lake from the deck, but the trees, mountains, and stars were a sight to behold. The property also has a more traditional fire pit in the woods, and a great playground that kept the kids occupied for hours. The property manager met us on arrival to show us around and generously gifted us some tasty provisions; she was super responsive and helpful during the course of our stay. The home is well-stocked, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there were even plenty of toys for kids. The living space and quantity of bathrooms (2) were good for our small crew of "glampers", though a 1/2 bath would've been nice. Loved the convenience of being able to let our dog out into the fenced in area of the backyard. Great place to stay in Grand Lake!

Amazing property for families! Beautiful views and space for everyone.
Our family loved staying here. We spent a week with my parents and 2 little kids. There was plenty of sleeping space for all and the outdoor space was incredible! Our kids loved the play set. Pearl let us check in early after driving through the night which was so amazing and even baked us yummy bread. This house has everything you need for cooking and having kiddos right down to potty seats for toddlers. The views are amazing and it’s so close to town.

We (a family of 10 adults and 3 children) had a wonderful stay at this property. We loved the homemade bread and banana bread that Pearl made and the goodie basket Katie left for us! Really enjoyed the hot tub and the kids playground area! Communication with property manager was easy and quick. Great location close to Rocky Mountain National Park! We’d love to stay again in future!

Beautiful place just minutes from the lake
This place was wonderful! It was less than a five minute drive to the lake. Have a dog? They have a dog house and fenced in area for them. Have children? My children loved the play structure with swings and slides. They loved pretending to be pirates on it! Lol. Like hot tubs? They have one of those too! I am always a little leery of using them, but this one was cleaned and drained prior to our arrival and there are even instructions to add sanitizer each time you use it. The house was super clean and comfortable. Tons of space. And lots of toys for kids both inside and out. Overall, this was the best place we have ever stayed. Well worth the money. The property manager and owner are both very nice and very responsive. We had a great time. Thank you Katie and Pearl! :-)

Best vacay yet! The house is amazing! Katie gifted us with a wonderful welcome basket with a nice bottle of wine, brownies and an amazing loaf of bread. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We cooked everyday more because we enjoyed the house so much. Pearl, the property manager met us there and showed us the house and gave us a warm welcome. It is only a few minutes from Grand Lake which is such a neat town. You have amazing views of mountains and Grand Lake. And it's only 5 minutes from Rocky mountain national park. The hot tub was wonderful and the gas fire pit was perfect every night. The beds were comfy We! We will miss Colorado!

Amazing view with plenty of room!
First and foremost, this place is perfect for children! The owner really made sure children are more than welcome with the amount of toys and games available. Plenty of space for everyone to eat together inside and outside. Amenities outside are gated with children safety in mind. Rooms were furnished very well. Felt welcomed more as family than guests. The view was amazing in daylight and night time. Location had a small mart a few minutes away for daytime use. Unfortunately, we forgot a few items and had to drive later at night to nearest town about 15 minutes away but that was on us. However, even that was an adventure with a beautiful sight with animals along the side of the road. Definitely would recommend.

Like being at grandmas
My husband and I both felt like we were visiting grandmas place or a friends grandparents. It was cozy and feels like a place where family gathers. I enjoyed having coffee in the sunroom every morning. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the dogs loved running around outside.

White Christmas
My family and I (all 11 of us) had an amazing time and a wonderful white Christmas at the property. We were a bit worried about being a big group and feeling crammed in the house, but it wasn't a problem and there was a lot of room for everyone. Katie was awesome and even decorated the house with a Christmas tree and everything for us. She was also very quick at replying whenever we had questions about the property or asked for suggestions. We loved our stay and would definitely consider coming back.

Snowy paradise
After a few glitches with Venmo, we finally got everything worked out and had a wonderful trip. Arriving early in a blizzard, we felt very fortunate that the property manager was able to let us in. She also brought us brownies and bread which she baked! They were delicious! Thank you! The house was very spacious and the kitchen well equipped for our needs. We enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful mountain views from the house. During our week the area had 42"of snow and the road and driveway was plowed daily! Daily skiing at Winter Park (Mary Jane) was a highlight. Thank you for sharing your house, Katie!

This house was perfect for our family vacation. There are tons of places to sleep, even a crib for my little one! Location is perfect as it is about a 5 min. drive to RMNP and to town. Would definitely recommend! Katie was very responsive and there was a property manager who was about a mile away we could call with any issues (we didn’t have any, but nice to know someone was close should we need something).

Great family getaway
The cabin was great for our whole family. We have kids that ages range from 16 months to 11. Our 16 month old was able to play throughout without being in any danger. Very well child proofed with appropriate gates everywhere. We saw a large moose right off the deck the first morning, which was very exciting. This was our first time staying in Grand Lake, and there was so much to see and do. We did Rocky Mountain National Park, hiking around the lake, kayaking, played at the beach, a rafting excursion, and explored the town. It was hard to leave!

Mountain Splendor Retreat
Our family —adult kids and grandkids—takes an annual vacation to create lasting bonds and memories. We are a large group and its hard to find a good spot to stay. Katie’s home provided ample room to give each their own space and also come together fixing meals and dining while enjoying the beautiful splendor of God’s creation. The home was very clean with many amenities and both Katie and Pearl (who manages the home) were extremely attentive to our needs. Destination wedding
This was a wonderful property and met all of our needs. We were there for a family wedding in Grand Lake and had a small reception at the property. The owner was very accommodating and I truly appreciate her working with us. The setting and outside areas were beautiful and peaceful. And the house was well equipped and had a very nice layout. There were a few minor housekeeping issues, which I discussed with the owner. The young people really enjoyed the hot tub on the deck! I would mention that the gas grille on the deck probably needs to be replaced, or removed - only two of the burners functioned at all, so it was not usable. I would highly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to book it again if the opportunity arose.
