I can't imagine why anyone would feel good about renting out such a dirty cabin. We booked 10 days in a privately-owned cabin at Lemmon Lodge. Imagine our shock when we walked into cabin 21 . The kitchen floor had dirt on it. Not sure what the bathroom floor had on it under the toilet. I won't tell you what it looked like . The carpet was full of soot stains and not vacuumed. Every surface was either Dusty or dirty . I wiped the dining table, dresser, coffee table and Dish shelves with white paper towels and they came up brown on each one of them. To make matters worse the glasses were Rim-side-down on this filthy Shelf. The furnace doesn't work. There is very little insulation, so your options are to use the wood burning stove (which had ashes floating all over the outside) or to use some small space heaters. The bathroom door doesn't close. The oven is dirty. The kitchen drawers and the flatware holder was dirty. I had to wash and disinfect everything . The closet is 2 feet wide, but has the hot water heater in it. So basically no closet space. But there was hot water, and I think the sheets were clean.
It's such a shame. Because Lemmon Lodge is a wonderful place to be, well-kept and beautiful. We THANKFULLY had good weather so we could be outside.
