Sands Ocean Club Resort
8/10 Good
"Overall the resort is clean enough. It’s pretty outdated though. Somse rooms are really old and in need of repair and replacement and others are really fine. We asked to be moved to a more updated room and they did that for us. So we saw both stages of age. Rooms are very humid, but it’s the beach, right? The beach view is awesome so I highly recommend an ocean front room! In fact the whole beach experience sold me on this location. The pools and lazy river are fine as well. The restaurants were just ok tho the people who work in them were very kind. Nice to have a full laundry fscility tho we did not use it. The music was fun. I’d stay again for the price - was definitely worth it. But I really hope they renovate the property."

"We stayed for one night, the room looked like it hadn’t even been swept, there was white debris on the bathroom floor, hidden fees, and the worst hotel stay we’ve had. They’ve added a smoke detector to the rooms that charges $500 if it sets off for any reason (charged immediately to your card) which is no problem for my wife and I anyway. However they couldn’t tell us if her nebulizer vapors would affect it. The walls were paper thin and every noise wakes you at night from other guests or the busy N kings HWY traffic. Breakfast was basic, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage, yogurt, I believe fruit and waffles. The staff was split. Some were very friendly and others were standoffish and rude. Stay at your own risk for sure. We won’t be returning."
Polynesian Beach & Golf Resort

"DO NOT STAY HERE, save your money!! Where do i start? I had to pay an additional $100 for a “security deposit” obtaining to a plus one under 25yo, was not told until CHECKIN TIME!! Theres no elevator for the three tier parking garage! The kiddy pool was green, photos are not updated or true of what this place looks like!! This is like an oceanfront motel! The first room had water all over the floor and ceiling,and what appeared to be black mold on the bathroom mirror. Apparently the room had been ready for me when I called 2 hours earlier before check in. The elevator floor was coming up, that was scary. The balcony on each side wall had cracks near the floor leading to the room, looked like it had been patched up multiple times. Towels STAINED! Just DISGUSTING! Do not stay here!"
Dayton House Resort, BW Signature Collection

"The room was clean and good for week stay. The check in process was ok. I checked in on the app to bypass the front desk but I had to go there anyway which seemed to defeat the purpose of the app check in. Also, the digital keep worked on the door and not in the elevator but the physical key worked on the elevator and not the room lock. Crazy. All the amenities were not in one central location so you had to walk to different buildings not connected to each other to get to the gym or breakfast sight or 3rd pool which wasn't convenient at all. However, it was right on the beach but near a construction sight on the beach. Over all it was a good beach week and decent place to stay. Not exactly sure i would reserve a stay here again though."

"Everything was beyond our expectations. Only complaint was the property was non smoking but someone was smoking the entire time and it kept seeping into our rooms. We reported it and they were quick to try to take care of it, but by the next morning the person was at it again…all day and night. We could barely smell the beach breeze through the ick."

"We enjoyed the splash pad, lazy river, and hot tub as well as a quick dip in the outdoor pool and the tiki bar! It was so great to be super close to the beach and room 1225 has a wonderful view from the balcony. The beds are comfortable and the tv and wifi work. Shower was nice but i would have appreciated more shampoo for three adults and a child and it kind of dried out hair out. You need to bring your own conditioner which we didn't but loved having a blow dryer. Very good price for the room which had two beds, a bathroom, and a kitchen. "
Coral Beach Resort and Suites

"It was a great place for the price. So many amenities available. However, the room was very musty smelling and the furniture was somewhat dirty. Comfy beds, but the pillows were tiny. Overall, I'd return, however, my expectations were much higher."
Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes

"Great hotel in a beautiful area right on the beach. Good thing the bed was incredibly comfortable. Just a note for management: room cleaning missed the mark during our stay when the Marriott typically holds higher standards. Beds were never made or room cleaned by late afternoon. One particular instance where cleaning staff didn’t speak or understand English and came into our room to clean bathroom while I was in there getting ready for dinner?! It was immediately brought to the attention of the front desk and they indicated it would be addressed. However A quick reminder to the housekeeping team would make this a flawless experience. I would still recommend staying here."
