Stayed 3 nights at Somerset House with the dog. We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival, and all our needs were met during our stay, including breakfast in our room. The B&B was lovely and homely and a great location for visiting the local area, and neighbouring towns. The promenade and the park were within walking distance, and were great spaces for exercising the dog. We have had a fantastic weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Thank you Ian,Parking is available on the road opposite the guest hour from 5p.m -10.AM unrestricted. It is restricted to an hour between 10a.m -5p.m. There are unrestricted roads running parallel. There is also a pay & displlay 50 yds from us. We are a town centre b&b

Comfortable, quiet and immaculately clean I had a lovely stay at Somerset House. Geraldine and Dave couldn’t be nicer as hosts. The room was simple but comfortable with a great power shower and the hotel itself is no more than few minutes stroll from the very centre of Grange and shops and cafes including the huge and beautiful Daisy Roots Bookshop, and within moments of the Promenade. Ideal location for me arriving by train and cycle-touring with Grange as a base and with convenient cycle storage within the hotel itself. Have stayed before and will be back to stay again. 5 Stars!

A pleasant B&B in a lovely area
We were greeted at the door by Geraldine, who was very nice. Check-in was very easy and she showed us up to the room. There was a breakfast menu for us to choose and hand-in the evening before. Breakfast choices were limited and it was disappointing not to see a Full English on the menu, although what was served at breakfast was very tasty (bacon muffin / egg on toast). The bedroom was quite small and the shower room was tiny, with the shower cubicle difficult to access (for a big guy like myself). The bed was comfortable and we both slept well.

The guests arrived with 2 dogs. We are pet friendly but we need to be contacted beforehand to let us know about pets as all rooms are not pet friendly. We only allow 1 dog per room up to 35 kgs or 2 small dogs. We also charge for pets. The charge on the booking information was 10 per night per dog. The guest refused to pay this as she did not read the information. I printed this to show her. She decided she would not stay and left. As she did not avail herself of our accommodation or breakfast I don't feel that she can review the property.

Wonderfully friendly hosts, great location, quiet at night despite being town centre, and put on a very early breakfast for us on a Saturday 2 hours before they were doing the main breakfast. Room was on the small side.

Thank you Peter. We were putting out a bowl of various fruits each day for weeks but it wasn't eaten and was going off, so we reduced the variety. I can only make so many banana cakes. Wifi is free and we sometimes experience problems when 19 guests are using it. Reception is better on the first and ground floor.

Grange over Sands B&B
Fabulous couple of days away in Grange over Sands. Never been before. Lovely little town. Great B&B along the promenade from the train station. Geraldine was a lovely host. Nice clean bedroom with en suite. Everything you could need with a nice breakfast. Recommended

The property was an old type building which was lovely. The people and staff was lovely and very friendly. The breakfast was excelent. We would stay there again. Good distance to get where u want to be. Plenty off shops.

Friendly owners with nice attitude and helpful.
Somerset House is a very welcoming guest house. The who run and own it are very friendly and helpful. Due to COVID breakfast had to be ordered, and it does not state on Hotels.com that additional payment for full breakfast would be asked for! Had a great view from the room and would use again. There is no parking on site, and parking on street is free from 5pm - 10am only. Stairs to access all rooms.

Thank you Julia. Regarding parking, there is also a pay & display 50 yards from us and there are unrestricted roads running parallel. Regarding breakfast, the items on the menu are included in the room rate e.g bacon or sausage plus egg on ciabatta, toasted muffin or toast, or tortilla on the same bread options or a full continental. breakfast also includes , juice, yogurt, fruit etc. You also asked for poached egg as an extra on your breakfast which we did free of charge.

Comfortable and convenient
Nice b&b, walking distance to the train station. Breakfast hamper was nice and good to be able to have it in your room. The room was comfortable but ensuite was a little on the small side. Overall I'd stay there again.
