“This was our first trip to Maine and we had a great time staying here at this charming cottage. The host was very responsive and all amenities were as advertised. The location is great, being nestled along the back part of the bay where we could watch the fisherman work and wake up to deer and bird songs every morning. We even got to see a baby fox and porcupine in the neighborhood. Travel to nearby Acadia and Schoodic is not far. Our top pick for places to visit would be Quoody Head State Park……

“Our family had the best time in Downeast Maine! Erika was a lovely host and was very communicative. This red farm house was the best place to slow down and enjoy all the area has to offer. We loved watching the tide come in and out each day! The house is well equipped and had everything our group of 10 adults needed for our stay. If you are coming in the summer, be sure to pack bug spray! Everything was thoughtfully put together.”

We didn't mind the drive, but you should at least be aware. Heads up if you'll be arriving after dark -- signage is small and the lighting is minimal to non-existent. Also would have been great to have a flashlight in the shed (be sure to bring yours/have your phone charged and ready).”
