“Quiet room (separate to pub) with comfortable beds. We dont like full, hot breakfasts so it was nice not to have to pay for it. The cereal/fruit /toast/ pastries were ideal for us. The food in the pub was nice, probably not worth the price but that's fine as a one-off. The pub was attractive and cosy. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Note - free toiletries are available at the bar, not in the room. The only things I didnt like were the stag head looming over our breakfast area and the……

“Great staff. No elevator so be prepared for a walk up (not unusual in the UK) Lovely bar/pub and also restaurant - rooms great and the spa lotions, shampoo , conditioner were the best I have ever had in a hotel (A.Hall...maybe offer for us to buy those at the front desk on check out ?? : - ) ”

“Had a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean. Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read.
