Wonderful stay at Hummingbird Villa

Wonderful stay in a spacious, well-maintained home. We loved our view of Rodney Bay from the deck, as well as the kitchen and bath that were stocked with just about everything we needed, and were spotless. Oh, and Velda makes a great rum punch!

Wonderful stay

This is such a beautiful, well maintained property. The view is incredible. It feels so isolated and private, but is only minutes from the amenities of Rodeney Bay. Staff was super helpful and responsive, and also allowed us our privacy during our stay.

Beautiful spot

I had a most luxurious week In Hummingbird Villa. The view is incredible, the pool has just the right amount of shade when required, the beds are super comfortable and it had everything you might need for your stay. I left feeling very restful and pampered. Thank you.

Great!

Hummingbird Villa was great! The pictures don't do it justice. Some of the best views on the island. Private and peaceful with easy access to shopping areas, grocery stores, restaurants, beaches and bars.

Hummingbird Villa felt like a home away from home for my wife and I. With walking accessibility to Smuggler's Cove, we were able to enjoy a Fairly quiet beach without having to travel far. We thank Velda the housekeeper for looking after us and I would recommend the Hummingbird Villa to couples, groups of friends and families.

Peaceful Villa

The view was the best part of this home. I also enjoyed the well equipped kitchen. The property manager was quick to answer my questions and assisted with booking car and restaurant reservations and recommendations for shopping and spa days. The housekeeper was very kind and helpful. My only recommendations would be to have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available and fans in the bathrooms. I would rent again.

Wonderfull house

We rented this house in March, with our 2 children of 9 and 4. Wonderfull house, well located, and quiet. As several people have already mentioned, the pictures do not show the house how it really look. The space is bright, the rooms are spacious, the terrace and its view are splendid. The little extra service: Velda was very discreet and the little dishes she prepared were delicious! Thank you :-) We highly recommend this house !

Lovely Home

This house is very nicely decorated and is comfortable. The view and location are outstanding. Velda is great and creates a comfortable environment. The reason i gave only 4 stars is that the bedrooms are hot and buggy. There is no AC or screens and we were eaten alive. i think more fams ams creens would help alot!

Amazing

Our stay at Hummingbird Villa was amazing. Velda takes wonderful care of the home and she's an amazing cook. The grounds and pool are in amazing condition and they took extra care to make sure of that after the storm. We will definitely be back!!!

Perfect Villa

Hummingbird villa was the perfect villa in a sublime setting, with unbelievable views. The villa is even better in real life than the pictures suggest. Velda the house keeper is very warm and friendly and made our stay extra special. Also worth mentioning is that the staff at Blue Square were also very excellent.

Beautiful View

My partner and I just stayed there this week. The place is beautiful especially the view! The staff were super nice and friendly. I loved the kitchen and all the space. Be aware there is no air conditioning and it was hot when we were there! The mosquitos love me so I got quite a few bites even in the mosquito nets over the bed.

Everything about Hummingbird Villa was perfect. The views are stunning. We loved sitting out on the terrace and watching the hummingbirds. Pool was great. It was kept lovely and clean by Velda the house keeper who came in 6 days a week, and even cooked us a couple of meals. The villa is so much bigger in real life. You do need a car if you are staying here as quite remote. But this is why we loved it. Only got home this morning and missing this beautiful place already.

An absolutely perfect Villa

Everything about this villa was magical. The location within the rainforest canopy with views across Gros islet made this a perfect setting. I personally loved the design of the villa which allows for through flow of air naturally cooling it which means there was no need for air conditioning. It is a very short drive to some amazing beaches including Smugglers cove, our favourite, and Pigeon Island. Having Velda there to cook was an added Bonus I hadn't realised we would have when I booked. This meant that we could have nights off from cooking if we wanted. All in all this villa had everything we needed and more. My husband had to work a couple of days we were there and the Wifi was good enough for him to run full day training courses without any connection issues (Better than we manage at home). There is also enough space for everyone to have their own space indoor and out if needed. Travelling with Teenagers is never fun but we could escape from each other with our own verandas so we never drove each other crazy. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone wanting to visit St Lucia and have the luxury of amazing accommodation without having to be in a resort.

Very special

Hummingbird Villa is a very special place. The photos don't do it justice. It has a wonderful, authentic feel to all the areas that have been designed very well. It's like sleeping in the jungle. The pool and rooms are larger than photographed and the the views are even better in person. Velda is fantastic and really takes care of the villa. Her meals are wonderful also! We looked forward to seeing Velda everyday, she is a kind and warm lady, with a great character. The mosquitoes, through no fault of Hummingbird Villa's and part of the course with a rainforest island, are a pain but they did everything to make them better - take plenty of repellent and maybe an anti histamine before. Mags was helpful. We enjoyed the Catamaran to the pitons, whale watching, mud baths, waterfalls, snorkeling, horse riding and Pigeon Island. Smugglers Cove was out favourite beach and nice restaurant, although accessed by quite a few steps. Rodney Bay Marina has some nice restaurants.

A fantastic place to stay

Beautifully positioned with fantastic views, all the facilities needed including a great pool, and only a short drive to excellent beaches, good restaurants, beautiful walks and golf. We will be back, again - our sixth visit.

Amazing views and breeze

Our family of four stayed at the Hummingbird Villa for 5 nights over the 22/23 holiday season. After the disappointment of a cancelled flight due to winter weather, we arrived at the villa four evenings later than originally planned. Velda (the housekeeper/cook) showed us around and had some rum punch waiting for us. The villa is spacious, clean, and has some fantastic views! The views and Velda's cooking were the highlights for us. Our daughters (10 and 8) really enjoyed the pool and it was just wonderful waking up to the sounds of birds and feeling the cool tropical breeze coming through the louvers. Velda was very flexible with arrival and departures times (we didn't need much, so she was able to work the hours that suited us). We celebrated New Years Eve there and enjoying the fireworks from the upper deck is a memory that we will treasure forever.

Our St Lucia haven

On arriving at Hummingbird, we all agreed that the photos did not do the Villa justice. What a beautiful spacious house. Our villa in Soufrière had magnificent views, so we hadn't expected it to match them, but the setting of Hummingbird was just as beautiful. We loved the indoor and outdoor spaces - perfect for our family group of 6 to be together and apart. Chilling by the pool was a joy. Driving to beaches, Pigeon Island, Rodney Bay etc was easy. Velda was lovely and made some great food for us. We would recommend Hummingbird Villa to anyone. Thankyou so much!
