La Fregate Hotel

"Great position with lovely views over St Peter Port Harbour, from our balcony and the dining room. The food in the restaurant was first class with an extensive menu and local fish and ingredients. Breakfasts were also excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay great. We could not fault anything."
The Imperial Hotel

"The first thing to say is that we had a really great week staying at The Imperial and we would go back. The first night was not good as we were given a very noisy room (no 6) at the back of the hotel above the kitchen on one side and above the public bar on the other. Despite being fully booked, the staff did everything to sort this out and we were given another room - much better. The hotel is being slowly updated so has an old-fashioned feel, especially the bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent and we ate several times in the evening. Not fine dining but good quality and not expensive. We appreciated nice coffee and tea in our room, bottles of water and biscuits every day. Service throughout was very good. All members of staff were very friendly and really wanted to make our stay as good as possible. We were give a large take away breakfast on leaving as our ferry was early. The location is beautiful but if you want to sample different restaurants or pop to the pub it will be too isolated. Great for walking, swimming, sunset watching and as a base for exploring the island by car."

"Really friendly staff - couldn’t have been more helpful. The only slight issue was the walls were very thin - the chap next door was a solid snoorer! But otherwise good."

"The food in the hotel restraunt was first class and the restaurant staff were excellent, helpful, courteous and always with a smile. The only downside, and it's not a criticism of the hotel, Guernsey is VERY hilly and the hotel is at the top of a VERY steep hill, and taxis in St Peter's Port are non-existant. The island bus service is very good but don't reley on the timetables pinned to every bus stop, get a timetable from the bus office opposite the bus stands."

"A lovely stay. The staff were very welcoming and beds/rooms comfortable. Both breakfast and evening meal were very well presented and cooked and restaurant manager was always cheerful and helpful. I will most definitely be coming back to stay."
The Duke Hotel

"We stayed for a week in September and the hotel is really lovely. Rooms and bathroom were clean and modern. The windows in the rooms only opened a few inches so would have been nice to open them a bit further. Rooms were quiet at night. Nice relaxed bar and large terrace with seating and sea view. Breakfast served in the restaurant with cooked food to order and self service continental. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food and service was first class. There was a large tour party having dinner that night but it didn't affect the service. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk downhill to the sea front. It's a bit of a slog back up a very steep hill in the evening. Wouldn't affect guests that had a car. I would stay at the hotel again if I had the use of a car."

"If you are looking for a place to stay in Guernsey….this has to be your first choice. Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing service and lucky for us, amazing weather! The staff at this hotel excel. They look after you so well and nothing is too much trouble. The spa staff are fantastic and the treatments a dream. The dining room staff just make you feel like family. The housekeeping team do a fantastic job. Honestly, there isn’t one thing I can fault about this hotel. Loved it so much that we have already booked to go again!"
Grange Lodge Hotel

"A really homely stay with a great breakfast. I was a solo traveller and felt safe there. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel could perhaps do with some updating but nevertheless I enjoyed my stay"
