Gulf time

The unit is in an excellent location. It needs new furniture in the living room. The couches are very tired. The fans in the bathroom are loud, othetwise, everything else was great. Great view of the beach.

Perfect location. Very few other occupants. A dated building and unit but it was a good value. Beds were SUPER comfortable. Might be time for a new sofa and loveseat. We would stay there again!

Amazing view

Condo was clean and exactly as listed. Our only issues we had: the elevator broke out first night, so we had to use the stairs the remainder of our stay the hot water in the master bathroom did not heat up very well - one night water was cool at best, one morning it was warm but not hot Other than that the listing was perfect. The view from the balcony was amazing. The direct beach access was awesome.

Beautiful!

This is an every year thing that I do with my grandbabies and I contacted management every day about the light in the bathroom, not working they fixed it one time, and it only worked About an hour and a half. I contacted them again and when I left four days later, it still wasn’t working my 11 year-old granddaughter had to take a shower with her phone light.i had 3 grand baby’s and 2 adults. The pool was shut down a day after we got there. Which would’ve been fine if the waves wasn’t so bad I depending on that pool for my grandkids when they couldn’t play in the ocean. when I contacted them, they acted like they could care less. If I wanna spend a good bit of money, I want my moneys Worth. I’m very disappointed in this place and will not stay at another beach ball condo site again. They have not contacted me with my complaints and they’re not very unprofessional.

October vacation

The eat in area of this unit has way too much furniture, get rid of the hutch as we couldn't even use bar stools. Pots and pans were in poor condition to cook with. The hotel next door was extremely loud pressure washing carpets early in the mornings. Great view but that was about all.

Great view and location!

We feel that the condo needs quite a bit of updating and TLC. It is also very poorly stocked - not even a salt shaker or coffee filters! When you’re only staying a few days, those little touches are appreciated. The light in the second bathroom didn’t always work, fans were loud, pillows were hard, other things were broken, sink in ensuite didn’t drain. We couldn’t use one of the closets since a huge foam “thing” was stuffed into it ! The unit was however clean and the location and beach are great.

Great place to stay right on beach

Was a good place to stay. The building itself did not look that great but the room was really nice with a great view. I would stay here again. Only thing I did not like was being called to see if a realtor coupd show the place on 2 seperate occasion s but we was not obligated to allow them to.

Only one complaint

Beautiful property and location. My only complaint is about beachball properties. They called me and wanted to show the condo to someone while we were staying there. Then they acted like I should know it was for sale when nothing online or in my contract indicated that. I told them I didn’t want to pack up everything and stage our condo in the middle of our trip for an hour showing during my family’s vacation. I thought that was very inconsiderate since they had half a day to show it the next day between us and another renter. The last thing someone on vacation with two small kids wants to do is clean a condo last minute and have it show ready for a Realtor. The photos and everything looks as it is listed online, but it being for sale should’ve been noted. Had I known it would be a Realtor calling I wouldn’t have answered my phone. Had I know I might be asked this, I would’ve booked a different property.

Comfy condo on the beach

Everything was just as advertised: kitchen was well-equipped, bedrooms were comfortable, location was great. The only thing that needs attention is the slow drain in the hallway bathroom. But we would stay here again. .

Clean, affordable beachfront condo

My family enjoyed the condo. Great price for a beachfront 2 bedroom 2 bath. It's close to everything yet quiet. The building itself could use some work (i.e. the giant step down to the beach from the outdoor shower deck), the beds sloped a little, and there were some minor maintenance concerns that were reported to the management company, but compared to the price of other places, it was totally worth it.

Gulf Shores girls trip

Great location right on the beach, good sized condo with ocean view from balcony, condo is a little dated with carpet and master bath, blinds needed repaired as s everal were missing and couldn’t close them, but overall was a great stay. I would stay there again happily.

Great beach vacation!

This is the 3rd year we have stayed at The Whaler, with each year in a different condo (mainly because I can't book a year in advance) and each year we have been pleased. The condo we stayed in this fall had everything we needed for a great vacation. Parking passes were waiting for us on the counter when we arrived. Keyless entry was wonderful. Property is on the beach and you can rent a nice umbrella for $20/day and chairs for a little more. It's a very short walk to Sea N Suds restaurant right on the beach, which we visit each year. Lots of golf nearby for my husband. Lots of sun and sand for me. Everything was perfect and we plan to visit again!
