“We loved our 2 nights here. While we chose the location for its proximity to Lucerne, Sarnen was a delightful surprise. The walking path into town was a fave and we enjoyed exploring. The apartment was well-equipped, including tons of pantry items and our host even offered us produce from his beautiful garden! There was lake access from the garden and we enjoyed a chilly dip in the lake! Host lives at the property and was easy to communicate with. Overall, highly recommend!”

“The views were top notch, it was wonderful to see the different phases of the weather/clouds and the alps. The host was responsive. The home was clean and nice but a bit further out of town than I expected. The stairs to get to the front door were challenging for my elderly parents. If I had known there were so many stairs (in the dark), I would not have booked it with them. The previous guest had broken the dining room light, which didn't sound like a big deal but there was only one small……

“Wir waren zu zweit zehn Tage in der schönen, hellen, ruhigen Einzimmerwohnung. Die kleine Küche, in der wir regelmäßig gekocht haben, ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. "Very nice view everywhere in the small town. Many choices of restaurants and activities nearby. Supermarkets, souvenir shops, train terminal within walking distance. "Pros: located on Main Street of Interlaken, easy to walk everywhere. Spacious, modern rooms with AC that actually makes the rooms cool. Bright lights in the rest room. There is also a small terrace and partial view of mountains from the room. Cons: Understaffed for two days - room wasn’t cleaned until 4-5 PM, only one person at the front desk, staff was super busy during breakfast. The day when we are about to leave, there is a new team of staff that is much more efficient and responsive. Breakfast selection is very limited compared to other hotels of similar grade. Tiny elevator due to the building being old. Overall, the service could be better for the price of this hotel. "
