“The hotel is in a old manor house in a small village, located about halfway between Lucca and Pisa. It was hard to find when we first arrived. If you like peace and quiet in the countryside, then this location is ideal. There are a few restaurants on the main road between Lucca and Pisa, but their opening hours are unpredictable. The hotel staff is friendly and breakfast is adequate.”

“I loved this property. It’s a smaller city and we had a car so we drove to the train station and hopped on the train. The host at San Rocco was wonderful, very accommodating, handled our requests quickly and courteously. The restaurant is run by a man and his wife who previously owned a restaurant. The restaurant on Saturday evening was full to capacity because loyal customers have followed him to his new location. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent.
