“This was our first trip to Hanalei and it was made extra special by staying at Mike and Leila’s place. It is beautiful, perfect location, and has everything you’ll need. We used the bikes and beach chairs to ride into town and relax at the bay. We loved sitting on the balcony or in the upstairs living room with the windows open during the rain. “This place was perfect for my family of 4. The kitchen was well equipped (even a bbq that we used a few times to grill local fish) and there were beach chairs, boogie boards and a surf board for us to use. The place is very comfortable and clean. We loved being so close to Hanalei - both the town and the beach! The host was also great - great communication and helpful tips and reminders. Thank you! ”

“This place is really nice! Unfortunately, when we arrived, we could not get into the unit. We were given a code but it was incorrect. We were outside for more than an hour (with our infant) as the front desk couldn’t help us and VRBO couldn’t get ahold of the manager/owner. Afterwards, they still communicated very poorly. The unit itself was very clean and very accurate to the pictures and it’s just a shame we couldn’t make this situation right and I wouldn’t stay again just for fear of not……

“Great place in great location. Loved the hot tub and nice neighborhood to walk and ride bikes. View of mountains are amazing. Walk to the beach was a little longer than we expected with trail access but quiet beach with great snorkeling. Easy drive to hanalei which has so many cute stores and restaurants. "Great value stay in Kauai, especially for families. This is probably the best value hotel we’ve stayed at in Hawaii. It’s not a luxury resort, but it offers everything you need. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained without feeling outdated. The location is a huge plus. It’s close to the airport and within easy walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, where you can find restaurants and a grocery store. Not needing to drive for meals or snacks was extremely convenient. The hotel’s restaurant, Lava Lava Beach Club, is also delicious and worth trying. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was spotting a monk seal resting right on the beach in front of the hotel—such a special and unexpected experience. A couple of small things could be improved: the shower pressure in our room was a bit weak, and the public microwave in the lobby wasn’t very easy to find. Overall, this hotel is a great option for families. Our 2-year-old had a wonderful time here, and we would happily stay again on our next trip to Kauai."
