"Great transport links nearby. Hotel and room was pretty grimy and run down, but it suited for a couple of nights. Smallest room I’ve ever stayed in - but I’m stocky and 6ft. Overall passable. Also ended up with a smoking room which I didn’t ask for, so it was a bit smelly at first. "

"Our stay at Risonare was awful from start to finish. When we arrived they told us there would be a significant extra fee for our 1-year-old to stay with us (I was pretty sure we booked the reservation with a child included, but regardless, this is the only hotel out of 6 that we stayed at in Japan that charged extra for a child under 2 years old). The room was advertised as a 4-bed room but when we got to the room the 4th bed did not have sheets on it, and we were told there would be a charge...

"Fantastic breakfast service! I already miss the Japanese breakfasts with the variety. This hotel is extremely convenient. The Izumiotsu subway station is a short 4 minute walk away and the supermarket is only 3 minutes. The supermarket has a fantastic selection of ready-to-eat choices. Also, there is a Mr Donut and a McDonalds at the base of the hotel. There are several places to eat besides these around the subway station (Nankai). "Convenient location near the train station, less than a 5 minute walk. Hotel has a lot of amenities and appears to be fairly clean. Rooms are fairly small as is fairly normal for Japan....so a bit tight if you need to unpack your suitcase. Staff are friendly and check in is quick and efficient."
