“CALl IT WHAT IT IS
If you are an AT hiker looking for a place to sleep close to the trail, in the dry, this is a good option. The bed was clean, had a refrigerator and ceiling fan, but no coffee pot. The bathroom and shower are communal so be aware there is not a bathroom in each “cabin,” nor can you lock your door from the inside. Thus “resort” is misleading. I am not sure why they chose to include “resort” in naming this place. It is very clearly a nice rustic campground with four hostel……

“Tried to charge me 11$ more than the price I was given online when I made the reservation. I showed him the confirmation email and he then refused to rent me a room all together over me wanting him to honor the price I had already confirmed online. Did so by using various hand signs because his English was less than understandable. Terrible experience and the place appeared to be filthy going by what the parking lot and lobby looked like. I don't imagine the rooms being any better but never……

“Carpet inside needs at least cleaned, if not replaced. Walls in rooms needs cleaned, outlets need checked in rooms, some did not work. More secure entry and lights in parking lot”

“Had to stay overnight in Johnson City recently for an event at ETSU. chose this property due to the fact it was rated Excellent on Expedia, and it was fairly cheap. Upon arrival, I immediately knew I’d been duped. The grounds are not kept up at all. Not a bad sign when the outside looks like an abandoned building. The check in was fine, but upon entering the room you are met with humidity along the lines of a tropical rain forest. Imagine old, aging window unit AC that isn’t properly……
