"We arrived to NewPort news around 2:30 and checked into the home on 245 Chapel St. @ 3pm. Once I got my mother and family members settled in my husband and I went to the other home 701 Smith St. without complications. My husband and I were not impressive about the neighborhood or the distance from the home on Chapel St., which they stated that the homes were walking distance; approximately 7 minute drive across the town. The home on Smith St. was nicely clean on the inside. We slept there...

"My husband and I typically lodge at this property when we’re in the area. It’s located near the airport, eateries of all kinds (Olive Garden is just a few steps away from the hotel.), shopping centers, and I-64 (towards Richmond and Virginia Beach, either direction). We always feel safe on the property and in our room. Breakfast is continental and nothing to rave about. Parking can be a hassle, especially in the evenings and on weekends. The staff is usually friendly and helpful, but this time, they did not mention that my husband and I were eligible for an upgraded room. It was Expedia who had asked us if we received an upgraded room since I am a Platinum Expedia member. We were a bit disappointed after finding out. However, we have another reservation next week at the same hotel because we plan to attend our granddaughter’s nearby high school graduation…we shall see what happens with our VIP stay at this hotel at that time."
