“The rooms aren't actually in/ above the pub, there is a separate building out the back with the rooms. The building isn't anywhere near as attractive at the pub! I was a little disappointed as it was a birthday present to go to The Henry Moore Foundation, dinner and stay over. The rooms are nice, we had a king room and the bed was huge and comfy- no complaints about the rooms themselves, other than they were very hot. I would stay again if in the area, but not as a special occasion.”

“The hotel serves great breakfast, however it suits mostly for people with car, if not you will be wasting lots of time in transportation to get in and out there”

“I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay.”

“The bar was good nice beer Room nice needs a bit of TLC mind , the in room safe didn't work I even bought new batteries for it tried them several ways to make sure in right but think just very rusty inside the battery part. But all in all nice place nice touch with the drinks and snacks free . My room was all good . Just needs a bit of TLC . But would stay again . I didn't report the safe so it looked locked if you get me . Thanks”

“Initially we were thrilled to stay here, as the pub manager showed us to our room, carried one of our suitcases and assured us that the waters & snacks would be replenished every day. Discovered after one shower that the shower gel was empty. I emailed the establishment asking for it to be refilled, and even left the top of the bottle on the bath mat as a hint. Never received a reply to my email, and had to leave a note on the third day asking to refill the shower gel, and to leave snacks as……
