"We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Shire! Mike was so welcoming and personable. The property was beautiful and spacious and the house was perfect. Our family of 6 stayed there for a long weekend. The kids loved the basketball court and huge yard to play catch in, the swing overlooking the pond, and the huge and very spacious garage where they played ping pong and bag toss! Thank you for great stay!"

"After reading some of the reviews it is clear they just didn't read the description. The host clearly states it's rustic, old fashioned and not modern. The listing does say here is a hot tub, there isn't. The fire pit is a small metal patio type fire pit. Still meets the need. The grill needs replacing. The walk to the beach is exactly as described. "Had 5 families and the facility was perfect with every family having their own room and separate room for the kids. The indoor pool and sauna were great fun. Also the spacious yard and fire pit were spot on. I highly recommend this place for groups of 20+!"
