Lovely Flat
The flat was in a great location and Martyn the host was very helpful. It’s a large, light and airy space with 2 good sized bedrooms and a huge lounge/diner (though we tended to eat in the kitchen). The decor is very neutral & everywhere is very clean. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here recently as a family of four (2 adults, 2 teens). We were visiting family in nearby Seddlescombe and had come all the way from New Zealand. The apartment had everything we needed to sustain our stay and more. It was warm & clean and Martyn was very helpful. Having the use of a washing machine was hugely beneficial having been travelling for 3 weeks already at that time.

Great location
Very spacious flat in a great location. Light rooms it had everything we needed for our long weekend. Martyn was very helpful and accessible. We had trouble with the tv but it wasn’t a massive problem as we were out most of the time.

Large flat in great location
The first floor flat is perfectly positioned at the edge of Hastings Old Town and a lovely bakery was just a 1 minute walk away. Martyn was very friendly when he met us to handover keys and show us around. The rooms were all very generous in size. The kitchen could do with freshening up but had everything we needed. There are nearby carparks but we chose on-street parking about half a mile away. The bedrooms were comfy and we slept well. All in all, this was a great base for our stay.

Lovely apartment
A very spacious apartment in an excellent location. The property had everything we needed for our stay. A huge lounge, well appointed kitchen, two large bedrooms, bathroom with shower and a separate WC. Our host, Martyn, was always nearby and was very friendly. His friend Cliff even took one of our group to the hospital when she had a fall. I would definitely recommend this property

Lovely spacious 2-bedroom apartment in the Old Town, Hastings, East Sussex.
Very spacious 2-bedroom apartment in the heart of the Old Town in Hastings. Clean and everything met our needs. Close to various pubs, eating places etc. A small walk to the seafront. Martyn was always available to answer any questions we had. All-in-all a lovely vacation for my son and I.

This property was great for a family of four( it could accommodate two more but that makes it a little more tight). It was very close to the beaches, the boardwalk, mini golf, restaurants and pubs, and the east cable car that takes you ( you can also walk up several 100 stairs!) and then you are at an open recreation mt. Park. We were really impressed with the accommodation- clean, well stocked, and a very helpful manager!

Christmas stay in Hastings Old Town
I was impressed by the cleanliness of the property. It was very well furnished and appointed with all the kitchen equipment needed. It was warm at all times. The bathroom and shower worked well. The owner Martyn was very pleasant and helpful.

Easy to book. Parking can be difficult to find somewhere with spaces near the property and also not easy to find. You have to walk down into a courtyard at the bottom of Courthouse Street. The location was great for Old Hastings. Overall taking things into consideration the stay was enjoyable and everything you needed was in the property. Nice touch with milk and a loaf and butter in the fridge from the Martyn the landlord. I would definitely go again.

Great apartment and location
Stayed @ this apartment (partner + 2 kids under 6), location is fantastic and the apartment offers plenty of space. Clean and tidy with two good sized bedrooms, large living room and kitchen. It's a first floor property and with little to zero noise from apartments above or from the shop below. Martyn makes the whole process very easy and is usually available in the shop below, this was our second stay here but will definitely be back again. Plenty for kids to do and see plus lovely oldtown shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep

This property is right in the middle of Old Town Hastings. Quick food store across street, many dining options just a few minutes walk away. Busstops just a couple of mins. away. There are a few stairs to go up to the flat but they are fairly easy to navigate. Very helpful, friendly staff,

This is in a great location. There is no parking on site but the car park is near and you are able to stay overnight. Right in the heart of the old town and close to the sea front. Flat was basic but clean, beds very comfortable.

This accommodation was so central on the Old Town & even though the weather was not fantastic we were so close to everything - we were able to buy fresh fish & cook it, lovely mussells & so many pubs & restaurats witin walking distance.

In response, the shower works perfectly it just needed turning on at the required isolation switch outside the bathroom, a large orange switch clearly marked shower. The washing machine worked perfectly this morning when I used it. So not sure why the guests couldn't get it to spin. The guests didn't mention either of these issues until they were leaving despite having my phone number and indeed I was working in the shop below the flat all the stay and we saw each other in passing several times. The kitchen surfaces and floor, the bathroom and toilet are thoroughly cleaned after every guest with strong bleach solution along with all the heavily touched fittings such as door handles and light switches.

Neither Modern nor very clean!
Flat has a lot of potential: Great size flat in a super location. Landlord is helpful and communicates well. However, it is in need of a deep clean and replacement of carpets, linens, etc. which he said he is the process of doing. More attention to detail is needed. Old worn out things need to be removed or replaced. Directions to access the property, parking issues including problems/possibilities need to be made clearer to ease arrival and unloading at property.

There is so much to do an the property is in an ideal place to experience everything the castle, smugglers adventure are a 15 minute walk away, an then the beach, bars and restaurants are 5 minutes away Martyn is extremely polite an the milk, bread an fruit provided was much appreciated.

Perfect location and lovely flat
Martyn made us feel very welcome and was proactive & helpful organising our access. The flat might not be the height of fashion but was very clean and welcoming with absolutely everything we needed including a lovely bowl of fruit as well as the offered bread, milk, butter tea and real coffee. As pirates for the weekend we enjoyed being in the old town, it made it easy to pop back to eat and rest. I look forward to visiting again.

Location, location, location AND space and amenities
Absolutely LOVED our stay here! The location of the apartment in the old town leaves you within 5 minutes of so much to get involved in at Hastings from cafes, aquarium, beach, galleries and the old town. The apartment was spacious and had EVERYTHING you might need in a home away from home. Martyn was lovely as well and supplied us milk, bread and a lovely fruit basket. Our 2 yr old son LOVED it - will definitely look to return :)

Lovely long weekend
We had such a lovely stay at Martyn’s property. It’s so spacious and comfy and everything is provided for: linen, towels and even beach towels. Martyn was very welcoming. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking, beds are comfortable and everything was very clean. Ideal location for the old town of Hastings, all the lovely shops and restaurants and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Martyn again.

I came to Hastings for a weekend with a friend and we stayed in Martyn's flat. We had an excellent time, the flat is large and very professionally managed, we had one little issue with the TV but Martyn sorted it out immediately and without fuss. All in all an excellent property!
