A large well equipped cottage in a small rural village.

A large well equipped cottage in a small rural village. Access was difficult due to local road closures, however parking was good. There was an excellent pub nearby but no local food shop. The kitchen was very large and well equipped as was the lounge. There was a nice garden with country views. The patio decking needed some repair.There were two bathrooms, one upstairs for 3 of the bedrooms and an en suite off the downstairs bedroom. The en suite was a small wet room without any shelving and a thin door between the adjacent bedroom. The travel cot requested in advance did not have a mattress or sheet, this was not clear on the house description. There was also some staining on the cot.

This lovely home was just perfect for our family week away.

This lovely home was just perfect for our family week away. We found it to be spacious, extremely well equipped, and nice & clean. Soft beds, luxurious towels and plenty of hot water. Location wise, only a short drive to the local beach, or a few minutes more to Hastings which has plenty going on. A local pub and nice cafe on the door step are an added bonus. We were blessed with fabulous weather, so enjoyed leisurely outdoor meals in the garden, which overlooks horse paddocks and allotments. Just one observation for guests visiting as a group, rather than a family; the downstairs bathroom is accessed through a bedroom, leaving just the upstairs bathroom for the other three bedrooms. Spacious, good garden, good location. Needs a Smart TV upgrade and some kitchen electric equipment minor upgrade- kettle, hand whisk, scales. Plenty of utensils and crockery. Appreciated the supply of cleaning products including dishwasher tablets/ washer tablets/ cloths and scourer, fairy liquid and hand soap/alcohol gel/ antibacterial wipes especially in current climate. Also provided bin bags, film, and Tin foil. Welcome bottle of Fizz also appreciated. Bit of a damp smell in downstairs en-suite bit everything working ok if not a bit small. I found the bed very comfy and the linen/ towels were of very good standard. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Nice cottage. Downstairs en suite very small and position of fridge freezer in kitchen needs changing or at least position of doors turned around but otherwise a good base for family

lovely cottage. 2 mins walk from a little pub and £10.50 in a taxi into hastings old town. has everything you need for break away. would highly recommend it. the owner kindly let us leave a bit later as no was going in that day
