“This is the rare 5-star B&B that actually earns its rating. The house is a beautiful, art filled home where attention is paid to every detail. The host and hostess are lovely and their entire focus is on making their guests' stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. “The room was compact but very comfortable. It was spotless and very well appointed, with a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and even a standing fan. The location is perfect, close to everything you might need. The pub downstairs serves great food too. Even though it's above a pub, there was no noise at all, and I slept very well. Definitely a room for a solo traveller though! ”

“The Apollo was a 2 minute walk from train station and buses. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. My room (5) was clean and bed very comfortable. Plenty of Tea, coffee and milk in room. Also a lovely touch was the biscuits, cartons of juices and bottled water. I would recommend the Apollo.”

“Lovely character full older property in its own grounds just outside Hastings. It suited our needs entirely as a quiet location out of town although the road to Rye passes outside but not unduly intrusive at all. Lovely period furniture in the public areas of the hotel with helpful and friendly staff especially at breakfast service. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and you have the time take a brief wander around the lake with its fountain, the grounds need a little work and……
