“The hotel is very impressive as soon as you walk in. To be such an old historic building, it has been well taken care of! Our room was large, and the air-conditioning was wonderful for the Galveston humidity. My wife got cold and made me turn the thermostat up. The upstairs bar gives a great view of the harbor and is very nice and modern. Drink and food were great. Parking attendants were very polite and fast when we checked out. The price is a little steeper than our normal stays, but if……

“This time we stayed in the Cottage. It was a separate unit behind the main house. Easy to enter using the code I was emailed. The cottage was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a claw foot tub and a wraparound shower curtain. The room A/C was excellent. It was very comfortable all day and night. The ceiling fan was whisper quiet. The cottage included a kitchen area with a half-size refrigerator/freezer, counter top, cabinets, tableware, microwave, and a table.……

“Since it's a hotel with a long history, I thought it would be a little old. However, the room size was small and musty smell of the carpet was quite annoying. In addition, it was very disappointing and upsetting in the modern renovated bathrooms. The waterhole in the shower was filled with mold and rust. Change to a new carpet, change your shower, or clean with Clorax. There is absolutely no intention of revisiting.”

“An adorable hotel that has a lovely mix of retro design and modern features and nice front desk people but.. PARKING or lack thereof practically ruins the whole vibe especially when there is a live music event on the weekend - you'll have to park across off the busy seawall road and feel uneasy about the safety of your car with all the late nighters whizzing by. NOISE level was high with a room facing the pool (looks like all their rooms do) and the pool seemed overcrowded for its smaller size.……

“Jollynn was incredibly flexible and accommodating during our stay. We had a wedding to attend on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. and requested an early check-in so we could get ready. She graciously accommodated our request at no additional charge and even met us at the property to personally check us in. Her exceptional hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile made our experience stress-free and truly enjoyable. Breakfast was served each morning at 9:30 a.m. and was a wonderful touch.
