“Stunning setting for the cottage. The grounds are spectacular, and local area so beautiful, and the lovely cottage itself surpassed our expectations and was really well finished and comfortable.”

“We all absolutely no complaints on our stay, the properly was cleaned for our arrival and we even had a cake with some wine left for our arrival. I only gave 4 stars for accuracy of online listing due to the maps location on the posting did not match where the location actually was and we got a lil lost but a quick call with the host and we found it. ”

“The property was the best we’ve ever stayed at. It was very handy for the town but in a very quiet spot. The owner was very friendly and informative. We had a very relaxing break and would highly recommend. ”

“This was such a cute little apartment. It is attached to the Milecastle Pub, which has very delicious food. A portion of Hadrian’s Wall is within walking distance. I would definitely recommend.”

“A well equipped, clean and tidy cottage not far from Melrose Abbey and the shops and restaurants. Tea in the garden house was one of our highlights, and another one was the wood burning stove on chilly evenings. The kitchen has everything one needs for preparing a hearty breakfast or a perfect dinner. Contact with the owner was nice as always. A true "home from home"!”

“Fantastic property with everything you'd need, or thought you didn't need.... great hosts who were eager to make sure we'd settled in and had everything we needed or any help with suggestions for sight seeing (although great information book supplied). We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. Will certainly be returning later in……

“We try and come to Otterburn once a year as we love the area. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with tableware amd cutlery. The veds were comfy abd the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that frustrated us was the induction hob, we have never used one before so took a lot of getting used to despite reading the instructions several times.will definitely be returning and will have hopefully mastered the use of an induction hob by then!”

“Great central location from which to explore the Borders region from Bamburgh to Melrose ; from the Alnwick Gardens to Edinburgh. After a great day exploring to return to our quiet countryside cottage for a relaxing glass while watching the sunset over the hills as the the horses enjoying a late night snack in the paddock and the swifts and bats doing tricks was wonderful . Enjoyed 7 perfect days. Jan and Phill ”

“Comfortable, spacious cottage. Excellent dining room facilities and a cosy lounge. Fantastic hot tub for 4 (not 8 as listed) and a huge bonus that it is covered, allowing you to sill use it in the rain. A less than 5 minute walk to the pub, however it is along a very busy main road without a path and only safe in daylight. With a more comfortable mattress in the main bedroom and either a hot tub top up visit (or access to a hose to do it yourself) this would have earned a 5 star review from us.”
