“The cabins are wonderful and you immerse yourself in the Old Florida setting. I spent only 1 night but I would like to return for a whole week as a retreat to read and write. That is one of those places that stay with you and so inspiring. Since it was a Monday the restaurant was closed but can t wait to try it out next time I am back.”

“Place was clean but the ac unit was very loud and the bathroom smelled like there was a sewer problem”

“Arrived late, lobby smelled like a dirty wet mop was used. HORRIBLE! Elevator smelled like fish. Our room smelled like mildew. I went to the front desk & ask for some air freshener. Was told he would have to come spray our room. He did, by the second day room started smelling a little better. Some mold in it. He said a guest had a dog & they gave it treats in the elevator, that was the smell! Blood on the side of our mattress.😬”

“Perfect. Room is equipped like a 5 stars hotel. You can feel how employee and management think how to make a difference caring about customers. Just an example, from 5pm to 7pm there are free snack and drinks. What is more important (for average travelers) you can rest in a quiet and comfortable room.”

“Unfortunately my stay was not peaceful due to unsupervised teenagers running rampant until 1 am. Security was called 3 times by 3 different guests and finally the adults with the group showed up. I had to threaten the kids and their chaperones that I would call the police if they didn’t get them under control. It would have been nice if the hotel had offered to comp my room or reduce the rate but they did not. The hotel should consider placing the teen groups on the first and second floor away……

“It’s really bad experience! The elevator was failed and I need take a large and heavy bag going down to 1st floor,I never want have this hotel again .”

“We booked this hotel for a concert in Gainesville. When we arrived, there was five couples standing outside waiting to register. All of us needed to get to the concert in order to find parking before got too late. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for one couple to be processed. The gentleman who worked there was very nice, but was working with extremely limited resources. I think he did the best he could, but the rooms were substandard, dirty, and we didn’t get our room till 1:30 in the morning.……
