The only inconvenience was the host would show up without any notice. Coming to check to see if we needed the trash taken or needed anything else is nice and fine but would have liked a notice that they were coming by."

"This property was clean, maintained and had everything we needed. The owner provided a lot of little nice touches, with premade bags for smores, snacks, packaged toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. The area is beautiful and has lots of deer to watch. My family had plenty of room to gather and visit as we all came in from separate states to celebrate my recently passed Mother's life. This was a great property to stay at while in Buckhannon. The next time we are back in Buckhannon we would happily stay...

"This was a very charming beautiful old house. Perfect weekend stay for us and our fur babies. Thank you for allowing them! Perfect little fenced in back yard for them to run around a bit. Nice comfortable bed for us. Everything was wonderful. Could use a bit brighter lights for overhead but loved all of the soft lamps and decorations. Everything we needed for our weekend get away."

"My sister, her husband, my husband and son and myself had a wonderful visit! We came to care for our parents home prepping for sale but wanted to stay close by. We were so comfortable in the big sprawling house--there was plenty of room for us to spread out! We felt like we stepped back in time with the high ceilings, antique furniture and huge front porch. Your welcome gifts were so nice, and the amenities were much more than most other properties we have stayed. The history right in the home...

"We have gone to the area every year for Thanksgiving week for 4 years now. We have family in the area and my husband hunts. What a great and convenient place for us as it is close to family. House was better than expected. It was very clean and check in was very easy. Brenda was very accommodating as we drove from Florida overnight. I would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely book again in the future."

The downstairs bed / bath worked well for 80+ year old dad with arthritic knees. The bedroom suite upstairs was helpful for the older couple with us too, for privacy and nighttime bathroom trips. We all appreciated the stock of flavored coffee and the hot chocolate in the kitchen! Loved the fact that we could all convene comfortably in both dining room and living room....

"We chose this property for the proximity to the resort, as well as the amenities for our family. As a family of 5 with a toddler and two teenagers, it provided great spaces for separation and relaxation. The rooms were all very comfortable and had everything necessary to feel like home. A huge plus was that it was warm and cozy. We stayed in many places where the cabins felt cold and no matter how hard you tried you just couldn’t seem to get warm. "Everything was great except neighbors dogs barking all hours of the night, but owner of house couldn’t help that, we just turned the tv on at night to block it out. Will definitely rent again if we return to snowshoe"

"A quaint, charming little hideaway! This place had everything we needed and more for our long weekend. So many quant touches - board games, books and other little amenities that one may need. We experienced a couple of hiccups during our stay, however Liz was very responsive and acted quickly. I gave check in 4 stars as the address in the listing wasn’t accurate and we had to contact Liz to locate the property. We would definitely book again and will likely do so for next year!"
