The manager, Akins, went out of his way to go to buy hand soap for the room when we asked for some. Breakfast was included which we hadn’t known. Pool area is large and pretty. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, beach. We dined for 3 nights at Knossos Taverna nearby. Owners were very friendly, cousins to manager of Golden Bay. Many menu options, recommend eating there.

The time was very nice here in Greece. The hotel is located near the party mile.. There are a lot of shops, groceries and locals., but it was also quiet to relax. The sea is also near hotel. The people were very friendly. What I didn't like was the bathroom. The toilet was terrible in our room. .....

The property itself is very nice, clean, and has a decent breakfast . We purchased the economy suite because we knew we would be out and about most of our stay. I knew I wasn’t going to get their best room but I didn’t expect to get the worst bed I’ve ever slept in. It was like sleeping on a cement slab. I was here for 3 days and slept none of them. A comfortable bed is so important when you’re away from home. For this reason I don’t recommend economy suite 103. Maybe the other rooms are better. I don’t know, mine was horrible

Très décevant.

Les rares points positifs : personnel professionnel, belle piscine et petit déjeuner moyen. Et c'est tout ! La chambre-studio serait d'une superficie correcte pour une chambre mais est très petite pour un studio. Niveau vaisselle, il y a moins que le minimum, et seulement deux plaques électriques. La climatisation est très bruyante et impossible à régler . La télé ne fonctionne pas. La literie est très inconfortable et nous avons eu mal au dos au réveil. Mais surtout, la salle de bain est très vétuste et d'une hygiène douteuse, avec des remontées d'eaux savonneuses chaque fois que l'on se douche ( voir photos). D'accord, la région est très touristique, mais à ce prix nous ne nous attendions pas à ce niveau d'inconfort. Je ne comprends pas la note obtenue par cet établissement sur Hotels.com. A éviter absolument.

Nicht schlecht, aber geht besser

An sich sehr schöne Hotelanlage, nur schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad sollte überholt werden, da ein duschen, ohne alles unter Wasser zu setzen nicht möglich war. Auch die Mücken waren eine echte Plage, da muss dringend Abhilfe geschaffen werden (Insektengitter, oder Insektenschutz fürs Bett. Frühstück sehr eintönig, 1 Sorte Wurst/Käse, gekochtes Ei und Joghurt/Melone

Sieht von außen recht unscheinbar aus, ist aber nach hinten raus wirklich wunderschön. Blick auf die Berge und das Meer, schön gestalteter Poolbereich mit Poolbar und Frühstücksbereich mit traumhafter Aussicht. Personal ist freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Ist mitten auf einer der lebhafteren Straßen von Malia gelegen, von wo aus man alle Tavernen, Bars, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und den Strand bequem zu Fuß erreicht. Innen bekommt man davon jedoch nicht viel mit. Ruhig und entspannend und trotzdem mit vielen Ausgehmöglichkeiten, wenn man will.

Der var 8-10 katte nede ved morgenbuffen, nogle gange lagde de rundt på boderne, det var så ulækker. Vi var tre i et rum hvor der var plads til 4, den sidste seng blev brugt til tøj da skabspladsen næsten ikke var tilstede, midt på ugen kom vi op og alt tøjet var proppet i vores kufferter og sengen var væk, den skulle åbenbart bruges et andet sted, ingen information til os som gæster. De reklamere med Wi-Fi på hele hotellet, den skal de nok revidere igen. Jeg lover vi aldrig kommer på dette hotel igen. De reklamere med delvis havudsigt, det var den største joke i år.

Comfortable cheap family hotel with great pool

It was a very pleasant stay - definitely gonna advice this place to friends. Perfect combination of price and quality. The family that runs the hotel cares a lot about the comfort of their guests - always there to help, very friendly and nice people to talk to. The pool area is great as well. The rooms are decorated with taste and all are very clean.

Amazing Value

I arrived late and got upgraded to a big apartment, the owner was really friendly and the breakfast was great quality. The pool is lovely and gets a great view of the sunset. It's far enough away from the touristy strip of Malia that you don't feel as if you're near it. Definitely recommended.
