So Friendly

A great little hotel right on the Malia strip, about half way between the main street and the beach- it was lovely and quiet in early April but probably a bit different through summer. The owner/ manager who was on reception was extremely welcoming and very friendly, she added a real personal touch. My room was clean and well decorated with a comfortable bed and beautiful terrace (shame it didnt stop raining long enough to use it!). Decent WiFi provided, aircon available but at extra cost- not sure how much as i didnt need it. The only downside was the ensuite which was very cramped and using the shower flooded it. Also, no toiletries other than hand soap, and theyre a bit skimpy on the towel front. That said, overall Le Palme is an excellent, good value place to stay in Malia.

Catastrophe

J'avais réservé pour Ilios appartement et j'avais ma confirmation. Arrivés: pas de place pour nous, nous sommes accueillis au Ilios hotel. C'est un endroit où les jeunes vont pour faire le party et moi j'arrive avec ma famille! Les jeunes buvaient, se criaient d'une chambre à l'autre et la musique était très forte. Je vais voir à l'accueil pour trouver une solution: personne ne peut m'aider car les responsables sont partis!!???? J'ai du monter le ton pour avoir du service et une solution. Nous sommes donc allés au Artemis Bay: plus près de la plage et un service extraordinaire!!!
