This was our second stay here and we love it.

This was our second stay here and we love it. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean and it has everything you need. The cottage is in a lovely village and perfectly situated to explore the beautiful Northumberland.

Great holiday let.

Great holiday let. Very central to everything. Lovely shower room and lots of hot water. Only spoiler in a wonderful place was that the bed needs a topper and the stairs to the kitchen could do with a heavy curtain as there was a little draft. Other than that we would definately come back.

The Grooms Bothy was very clean and comfortable, it had everything you require for a break. the amenities are close by Pubs shops Butchers, Green Grocers post office. Co-op.The Village locals are welcoming and friendly and will stop and talk highly recommend the area.One small thing we noted which we understand is our personal choice is we could have done with a firmer matress on the bed all in all we enjoyed our stay.

In een woord GEWELDIG!

Heel knus met alles die je nodig hebt voor een super vakantie! Keuken is heel goed ingericht met zelfs een vaatwasser! En is heerlijk licht. De douche wordt heel snel warm met een goede straal (en zacht water!). De slaapkamer is heel comfortabel en het bed slaapt heel lekker. De woonkamer met Wifi, televisie en zelfs telefoon is knus en zeker ‘s avonds met de houtkachel.Contact met de eigenaar (ivm vragen over de bus service) was heel prettig. Het huis is inmiddels verkocht en ik hoop dat de nieuwe eigenaar de cottage ook verhuurd via Vrbo waarmee ik ook goed contact had (ivm het bevestigen van het contract).Kortom mijn verblijf kon niet beter!

Great cottage with lots of local amenities and very well equipped. Lovely friendly people around the village and the owners were also very helpful. The cottage was homely with lots of nice touches. The only thing that did take some getting used to were the creaky floorboards.

Great tidy little cottage.

Great tidy little cottage. Location was ideal for various outings in the north of England, especially Kielder Water/Forest. Nice village location with shop just opposite the cottage and a pub just up the street. Only real negative is that the ceiling is a little low in places so any 6ft+ people would need to watch out, but I managed. Otherwise it was great. Would definitely recommend it.

Second stay which says it all really.

Second stay which says it all really. Quaint, cosy, big enough for me, hubby and dog and an ideal base for a running event he does on Sunday night around Kielder Forest. Village is welcoming and friendly, great food and dog friendly service at The Cheviot which is literally 100m from the Bothy and the local amenities including a supermarket but fab local butcher and baker take you back to the days when shopping locally for all your needs in small outlets was a pleasure. Lovely countryside to explore including the beautiful waterfall at Hareshaw Linn which is a 90 minute round trip starting from the cottage. Cottage itself has all you need, bathroom a bit tired but fine for a short stay and the welcoming touches like milk in the fridge and even a bottle of wine are a really nice idea. Sure we'll be back!
