“This is not ideal for a stay longer than maybe a day or two. My husband and I stayed for a week and it was not great. Keep in mind the room is small. There is not a lot of space to hang things or place anything especially in the bathroom. The bathroom looks moldy in all corners and we did find 3 bugs in our bed (under the bedsheets). “Villa Italia is a conveniently located small hotel in a quiet and well patrolled area of south beach referred to as SoFi. As it is walking distance to the beach and many restaurants with a bus and free trolly stop right outside it would be a good choice for people with small children. The units have refrigerators and a micro wave is available for use in the communal kitchen off the terrace area. The terrace area is a pleasant place to sit with covered tables and chairs. “Okay guys, this is going to be a real “to be honest” and straight up review.First off, the communication from the host was GREAT! We did lose our keys at the beach and didn’t realize it until we got back to the property. Mind you it was pretty late when we got back and it did take a little bit to get a response from the host; but when the host replied we were able to get a spare key (we paid a fee of course via Zelle) pretty quickly and the host made sure to make sure we were all good! “Coming off of a cruise, I worried about having a "horror story". However, Sergio and family really cares and it shows!. The place is well taken care of and spacious. For a party of 4, we weren't cramped at all. All of the essentials from cookware to washer and dryer is there onsite which was a HUGE help. You have the privacy of it being your own and the communication before arrival and thereafter was A1!. The Cabin is but 20 mins away from MIA international Airport which was very convenient. ……
