LAKEFRONT with Breathtaking Views of Lake Chatuge and Blue Ridge Mountains!

Three bedrooms include three queen beds, plus 2 twin beds and one sleeper sofa. sleeps 8 total, 3 full baths, gas log fireplaces upstairs and down, dining room and living room upstairs, large den and game room with ping pong and pool tables downstairs, fully equipped large kitchen, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffeemaker, 20' x20' screen room and full house length balcony overlooking lake, covered parking, covered picnic area with grill, huge gently sloping lawn with fieldstone firepit by the lake and dock access, all with lots of trees and shade.
A boat dock for your use.
Please note: The TVA lowers the levels of Lake Chatuge in the Fall and Winter so in those months you would not be able to have a boat at the dock. The TVA lowers the water level beginning the end of August and brings the water level back up in the Spring. You can still enjoy the dock ... just not put a boat in at the dock.

It is a beautiful property in a great location. There is a screened in porch overlooking the lake to sit and watch the sunset. Great access to Hiawassee and the surrounding area.

reat time with family. there is a shallow water dock that is perfect for small children swimming. there is a dock in deeper water about 100 yards away we had access to for boat. great time

This house was extremely clean. well maintained no smells whatsoever. Lots of towels great parking ! Overall it just was a good of experience.The host was very gracious could not ask for a better place. We will be staying with them every time we go to Hiawassee from now on and the view is amazing!!!!!

Beautiful lake house

We absolutely loved this lake house. We will return! It was a home away from home with all the necessities and then some. The location and view were perfect! I can only imagine how much fun this would be during the summer. The downstairs was nice for my teens to hang out in. If this place had a hot tub it was be the cherry on top!

Perfect place for family!

This property has fantastic outdoor and indoor space and accommodations for a family gathering! The backyard is so large that our adult kids bought a volleyball set for early evening volleball games and we all loved the bonfires in the fire pit too! The sunsets were so beautiful. Great Space

We really enjoyed our stay! The bedrooms and overall space was perfect for our family. We had a lot of cloudy, somewhat rainy days so we took full advantage of the screened in porch and downstairs recreation area. The kids (and adults) enjoyed jumping off the dock and playing in the spacious yard. Buck was so wonderful and very helpful in making sure our stay was perfect. We hope to return here next year!

High school fishing tournament

Here for my sons high school fishing tournament. It was very convenient to boat ramp that we use. Nice clean house. Nice view of lake. Extremely nice host (Buck) Would 100% stay there again.

Good Family Time

It was very clean. Buck was very nice and has done some good work there on the house. It was good to have that safety screen at the top of the staircase since we had a 2 year old. The kids enjoyed the rec room a lot and had plenty of room. The neighbors were friendly, too.

We had a lovely stay. The views from the dock are outstanding. Plenty of room in the house for 4 adults and 3 kids to spread out. We enjoyed the firepit and swam off the dock. House in convenient to everything downtown and Bell Mountain.

Hiawassee Hiatus

Overall very good to excellent-considering staying here again. Mid century modern home with some recent improvements. Property is on a shallow cove formed by a long private peninsula jutting into the lake- fishing off the point restricted to guests of this property. Sunsets are indeed fabulous. Would be a great place for kids! Buck is friendly, capable and seemingly always accessible. Only (minor) negatives: Ping pong table is miniature and TV package didn't carry Bally Sports to watch the Braves.

Home away from home!

Buck, the manager of the property was exceptional. He met us at the house (he actually lead us to the house. I made a wrong turn and called him). He was very friendly, helpful and personable. He took us into the house and showed up everything that a renter would have to know. He answered questions, and spent as much time with us as needed. The house was perfect for our family. Our 3 grandsons had the entire lower level to themselves. There was one bedroom, plus 2 pull out beds and couches. Plus 1 full bath, it was as it stated in the description. Kitchen was furnished with plenty of dishes, pots and pans. A couple of cookie sheets would have been nice but I did bring one of my own so it worked out fine. Plenty of clean linens. Bed were very comfortable. Unfortunately, the water was down 7 ft.in the lake, but the boys brought there small boat and carried out to the water. They still got to go fishing, which made them happy. The pool table and other games were great. We had pool tournaments. All in all everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend this vacation house. Would love to return. Thank you Buck for all that you did and Elizabeth for sharing your home with us. Sharon and Herb

Mr. Buck is the Best!

Buck greets you at the door and walks you through the things you need to know during your visit. True southern hospitality. Sitting on the back porch watching the sunsets was a great way to end each day. We would love to return for another visit.

Fun family vacation

The house offered all we needed for a fun time at the lake. The yard is expansive and the screen porch is quite large which allowed us to spend a lot of time outdoors. Some things of note….there is no king bed in the house although the listing said there was. I definitely was disappointed in that incorrect information. And the downstairs area, in particular the rec. room, is in need of some sprucing up. The sleeper sofas probably need to be replaced. The screen porch furniture was missing a lot of cushions and did not look like the pictures online. However, these things did not stop us from having a good time,

Nice set-up for families with teens

The layout was great for 2 families traveling together with 4 teens between us. The teenagers had the bottom (game) floor to themselves. There was plenty of room in the upstairs living/dining area for all 10 of us to gather as well. The yard is huge! Though the lake is way down, the views were still very nice. Mr. Buck was very helpful, and easy to communicate with. We had a great time!

Loved the screened porch

We loved the view from the screened porch. In the 30+ years we've vacationed at various places, this is the first time we had someone meet us at a rental house to let us in and show us around. We would have preferred a lock box with key. Screened door from deck to porch had loose screen. Beds were comfortable. New stairs were well made. Downstairs was a bit dusty and could use a good cleaning. Very dated. Game Room had several damaged items. Pool table was warped. Floors upstairs could have used a cleaning. Grill was great. Plenty of parking for cars and our boat trailer. Master bath was dirty and shower door had a lot of build up. It was not made for a 6'6" man to shower in. Plenty of dishes and linens. Internet and television worked great. Spent most of our time out on our boat fishing. We even enjoyed the geese in the yard. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the stay. Will stay again if possible.

The Views, Property and Hospitality are all TOP NOTCH!!

GREAT location!!! With a beautiful property, gorgeous views, and amazing Sun Sets. Buck was a great host, and goes above and beyond to ensure ALL of your needs are met- I can’t say enough about his level of hospitality and consideration to ensure our stay was the best. The house has everything you would need from linens, kitchen utensils, games and things to do- we definitely felt “At home”. Thank you to Betsy and Buck for a great back to school getaway!! We’ll definitely return as soon as we can.
