The Catskills Red Barn-near Belleayre

The Catskills Red Barn delivers a unique vacation experience year round. It's located next to Belleayre Mtn. Skiers and Riders also enjoy easy access to Hunter, Windham and Plattekill.

A variety of restaurants, supermarkets, and specialty shops are all nearby. Bargain hunters love the rural shopping. There's even a local distillery as well as brewery !

The interior features a mix of antiques, stained glass, and cleverly handcrafted lighting fixtures and furniture. The kitchen, well equipped and furnished for efficiency, meets a gourmet chef's skills. A vast library of board games, Books & CD's offers ''sunshine' on a rainy day. The space is an open design, yet cozy and intimate at the same time. It is best enjoyed by guests who enjoy each other’s company and want to spend time together. Please take note of the open stairs as well as the existence of heights without railings. There is a child gate available for the bottom of the stairs available on request.

The creature comforts and artfully curated design makes it easy to follow the number one house rule, ENJOY. The property's Welcome Book and host’s quick response to questions ensure that guests can feel right at home on arrival.

Amazing property, the photos don't do it justice. Every detail is a feast for the eyes and Blythe puts a lot of pride and personality into every corner. On top of that, great communication and accommodation, and centrally located to a lot of great hikes and Woodstock.

The little red cabin was perfect for us and our two dogs. Close to area attractions, but secluded and quiet too. We even had a bear stroll through our yard! Owner super-responsive to any question or concern. Will definitely stay again!

Red Barn Rocks

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Red Barn with our dogs. Everything was wonderful- especially the yard and walking trails for the dogs. Great restaurants and charming towns nearby and Blythe was very helpful with recommendations. We would absolutely stay here again!

Awesome spot!

Blythe is super helpful. We had a fantastic night in the cabin, which had so much character. Belleayre is so close, it’s a great little getaway to go and have some fun.

Loved our Stay!

This home has been put together very thoughtfully. Our stay was very comfortable. My kids loved exploring every corner and loved the bedroom downstairs. The bedroom upstairs was enchanting. The window behind the bed has a wonderful view of the ski trails at Bellayre.Wifi was good. The kitchen was well supplied and had good appliances.Last, and most important for my stay was the location. Three minute drive to Bellayre, which was so convenient!

Red barn weekend ski trip.

It is as the pictures show. It is a cute unique property with tons of country charm. A family of four and a four legged fur baby all had a great time. The host was amazing and made the stay great. Great location for skiing at Belleayre as well!

Enchanting Red Barn

My wife and I have never stayed at a place that had so much character. It was simply charming. Quiet, peaceful, quirky, bright, cozy. Our gracious host has put so much love into this little barn and you can feel it as soon as you step in the door. We stayed four nights and were constantly surprised by all the charming details. I wish we were still there!

Cozy, Welcoming & Fun

Upon entering the Red Barn we were instantly emersed in a fun, warm and cozy, yet quirky space! There is so much to look at and enjoy in every inch of decor. Plenty of information on places to eat and things to see! However if you want to stay in there are plenty of books and games too! Our dog loved the big yard and the trail behind the barn. All the features were perfection, from using the fire pit, to grilling, to nearby activities, shops and trails. The stairs in the red barn are rustic and beautiful, but our puppy was afraid to use them lol, nothing a little muscle and carrying power couldn’t fix so she could sleep in the main room near us! Blythe was an amazing host, full of suggestions and information, quick to respond, pleasant and friendly. The Red Barn has everything you need and was the perfect weekend getaway, we will definitely plan a longer stay next time. Overall the space was perfect and we will surely being going back!! It will forever be a wonderful place in my life as my boyfriend proposed while we were there!! I could write a novel on how great a place this is, but trust me, just go!

Charming!

We stayed in the red barn for 9 days with our 8 year old son. We had a great time hiking right from the property, having evening fireside hangouts, and exploring the region. It's secluded, quiet and peaceful, without being isolated. Blythe is a wonderful and informative host. Highly recommended
