“Right in the heart of downtown Grand Junction within walking distance of plenty of bars and restaurants. Try Cruise Control a couple blocks from hotel for great beer, cocktails and food. Hotel Melrose has been beautifully restored— Lovely sitting area, backyard patio, and a great lounge. We will definitely stay again.”

“This was a nice stay. The bartender was helpful and the food in Tapestry was tasty. Front desk staff at checkout were friendly. The spa was not as hot as we like and would have preferred it to have been adults only as kids were playing in it.”

“This is an older, well-kept and maintained property. Looked as if it had been recently repainted. My bathroom and shower were impeccably clean and everything worked. Remember, this is a Best Western just off a major interstate, so it's not the Ritz-Carlton, but the bed was comfortable, bedding was clean and nice pillows, TV works, etc. No complaints about the room. The courtyard is also well kept and the landscaping was surprisingly attractive. Breakfast had a wide variety of options - cereal,……

“This newly renovated “motel” style accommodation is cute and has a great fire pit and views out back. Paper thin walls though.”

“Great little independent hotel. I see some other reviews have spoken about the nearby train going by and the thin walls. The train is definitely close, but once I was asleep, I never heard it again. And I never did hear any of my neighbors either, so I guess your mileage may vary. All in all, a surprisingly spacious room, very clean, with a clean bathroom. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful with a great attitude. No complaints, no notes.”

“The bathroom sink plugged up and stank. Shower pressure was horrible. The girl at the front desk and the young man that she brought with her to unplug the sink were both polite and helpful. When we were leaving the next morning, we passed by 3 or 4 employees and not one of them even looked at us or acknowledged us, let alone a thank you or have a nice day. Do not recommend.”

“Owner is neglectful of basic maintenance. Closet door was freestanding and not attached to anything and fell over onto my child. Bathroom doorknob was installed backwards resulting in my wife being trapped in the locked bathroom. Bed was improperly assembled and collapsed on my child. Bedroom floor was badly damaged and splintered and resulted in splinters in my child's feet. Front facing windows were missing blinds and exposed our private space to the busy front streets. Dryer was disconnected……
