“The host was very welcoming and helpful, but the apartament was quite dirty and we had to request the cleaning crew to come back. Towels had stains, there was hair on the bathroom floor, the microwave was greasy and dirty inside, etc.”

“The beds are comfortable. The place gets really hot even when adjusting the temp. The a/c unit in one room did not work & it was the hottest room (the one right beside the kitchen). Some of the bath towels had stains. The restroom was not clean when we arrived. Gets pricey having to take the NJ transit to NYC. There is a door with a sign to keep closed, when you enter. Well one day we noticed that the door was open. I messaged the host & his reponse was it’s an entry to basement and not to worry……

“The apartment had many problems. Downstairs there was a door leading to a construction site, several defects in the living room, only one set of keys, and the bottom mattress was made of springs that left marks on your back. But the worst part was how cold it was; the windows didn't insulate, and the appliance in the dining room didn't work properly. Imagine how cold it was the two days it snowed. We told the landlord, and he kept giving us the runaround, making excuses but not fixing the……
