Old Homosassa Historic Neighborhood near the water.
Outstanding rental property for a couple or small family. Relatively inexpensive compared to other rentals in the area. Owner could not have been nicer. Well maintained and clean inside and out. Very comfortable. Great pool and patio/deck. Kitchen and bathroom has everything you'll need except food. Dining choices in the neighborhood are limited but interesting.The Freezer is a fun seafood bar. Cash only. Good selection of seafood choices at a reasonable price. Cold bottled beer by the bucket. Short walk from the unit. Not far from from more familiar chain and other restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. Our first choice when in Homosassa.

Great Stay
This was a great property. It was very clean spacious and a perfect area for us. The hosts while living on the property but in a seperate structure kept to themselves. We spent a week there and meet the husband and wife in person only once. They are wonderful down to earh people. This place was as advertised and I would not hesitate to go back and would reccomend to anyone. Thank you Jan and Duanne for a great stay. We appreciated it greatly

Very Cozy
The location is remote but easy access to food and local attractions. The internet was for all intents and purposes non existent. It has basic tableware but don’t expect very much in the way of trash bags, soap, coffee or cooking staples. The beds and sofa were cozy but the rooms were hot. It’s clean but not meant for more than a few people. This isn’t a home but a one bedroom apartment or in law sweet. Over all nice and convenient.

Great get away
We had a wonderful girls 5 day vacation. 5 can sleep comfortably in this rental. Very clean and cozy. Plenty of towels and pots and pans. You can walk to the Freezer which is a great place to eat. It was too cold outside for us to enjoy the pool. But we will definitely be back!

Great location for access to activities
My adult daughter and I enjoyed this little home during our long weekend in Homosassa. We day tripped and snorkeled in Devils Den, did Crystal Springs, the Homosassa wildlife preserve and much more. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and the quiet location.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay a lot. A lot of awesome things to do close by. Flea market, restaurants, State Parks. Etc. would definitely recommend Wallace’s restaurant. And Ice cream place around the corner. Don’t forget the Freezer… love the shrimp. Don’t forget to bring cash when visiting the freezer. Great property.

This property was perfect for our little family’s impromptu vacation. Home owners were present onsite and very polite. No issues at all with the home. We enjoyed the pool and mornings and evenings out on the porch. Area is very quiet and not your typical tourist spot which was great with young kids.

Mother's Day Weekend
I took my mother and aunt to visit their sister for the weekend. It was a very relaxing weekend. The home was very well equipped for our stay. All we needed was to buy our groceries. It was very close to some good restaurants. We are already planning for next year.

We enjoyed our time at the house. However, the carpet was a bit difficult with a 2 year old.
The house was just like the pictures and was clean and nice. The pool was clean but not heated so it was a little cool at first. The listing said there was a washer and dryer but there was not one available.

Great place to stay in Homosassa!
Property was great! Well maintained and clean. Duane was gracious and made time to give us a boat ride. Fire pit was a great plus! Location was prime as it was only a couple hundred yards to downtown Homosassa. Can't go wrong with staying here.

Perfect location
Perfect location right next to bars, restaurants, the river, boat rental, fishing charters in beautiful old Homasassa. Property owner is Licensed Boating Captain Duane Tibbets. Took the hubby out for fishing charter and he really enjoyed the experience. Jan Tibbets is responsive and kind. They live on property but you rarely see them. Apartment was clean, and cute. We loved pool right outside our door. We highly recommend this location and will definitely visit this charming location and it's sweet owners again. Go visit. You won't regret it!

A little disappointed
This was a comfortable little apartment. However, when we walked in the carpet had an odor and there were two air fresheners I guess to mask the smell. Over all the unit was very clean. The apartment was in a neighborhood and someone was burning their trash which went on for a few hours. The location was good for walking to some restaurants with outdoor seating so that was a plus. But when they say the owners are on sight, they are 20 feet from the apartment we were in. It was a little weird but we didn’t see them much. There are specific instructions for guests to do prior to leaving including taking out the trash, putting all used dishes away, putting all used linen in a central pile, etc. In some ways it would have been easier to stay in a hotel. We left the unit very clean. The fees included the nightly rate, owners fee, service fee, cleaning fee and a damage security fee, none of which you get back. In short I probably would not stay there again because when I’m on vacation and paying for a place to stay, I don’t want a list of instructions to do before I leave.

Family Get Away
Duane and Jan have a great place. Perfect for our family of 4 to get away and enjoy some sun and pool time. My husband and son went fishing with Duane and we had some fresh catch for a couple of dinners. They are also close enough to enjoy kayaking on the beautiful river and spring systems. The place was great, clean and well stocked. We also rented a golf cart while there and it was great to get around the area. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Great place to stay. The location was excellent for our kayaking trip. The Tibbetts were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to The Shed and The Freezer. Many other great restaurants were close by. If we kayak this area again, we will definitely look into booking this place.

49 wedding anniversary
Celebrated 49 years of marriage here. Wonderful place! Went bike riding on beautiful trails in the area. Went fishing with Duane (the owner of the house). Best fishing guide we have ever fished with. Very clean and well kept house. Five stars!

We had the best time. This place was just as advertised. Nice big rooms, very clean and bright. Its quite and close to everything. We took 1 day to go fishing in the Gulf with Duane Tibbetts. He cleaned the fish and took them to The Shed where they fried them up. We ate right there. We would love to stay here again.

Location was great for us, loved being able to walk to docks and the restaurant The Freezer.
Nice accommodations, well-stocked kitchen (but limited spices), owners on site, very helpful and nice. They were quiet, did not interfere at all. Nice yard for BBQ, ramp for handicap access.

Stayed 5 days and had an absolutely wonderful time with wife and two kids. House, pool etc. were just perfect. The location was great for exploring the area. We fished, scalloped, cooked and had everything we needed for a comfortable relaxed stay. We will definitely be back to stay and fish again with Capt. Duane.

Fun Getaway Spot
My teenage son and I popped down for a visit of the area. The place was nice and clean. We enjoyed having the pool! The property is located a couple blocks a popular the boat ramp - the place is private a secluded so you'd never know you were on a busy road. We took Captain Duane up on his chartered fishing trip - twice! That was loads of fun! Had a really nice stay! Even though they live right there, I felt they gave us a lot of privacy.

We truly enjoyed staying at this property. The kitchen was very well stocked and there were plenty of towels and linens. We were able to meet Captain Duane and he was very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the water and Shellys fish market. We will be back!

This poolside home has a great floor plan and is exactly as pictured and described. Jan met us when we arrived and was a gracious host. Hosts live on the property and communication is easy if needed. We found everything very clean and spacious! We had a wonderful boat ride with Captain Duane Tibbetts on the Homosassa River, saw lots of manatees and birds. We especially enjoyed the walk-in shower! If you like to cook, bring your own spices including salt and pepper, but everything else you need to prepare and serve meals is here. We would definitely recommend Jan and Duane’s place!
