Rural Holiday Cottage with Wonderful Countryside Views on Friendly Smallholding.
- We converted Golden Square Cottage from an old dairy. The cottage was designed to make the most of the amazing views from our hill top position. The view from the bedrooms and the large private deck are really special.
The cottage is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage is in a great location for walking and exploring the Blackdown Hills and the Jurassic Coast is within easy reach for great days on the seafront.
Finished to a high standard, with every detail carefully thought out. We've tried to be as environmentally friendly as possible, installing solar panels to provide hot water, using responsibly sourced wood for the windows and doors made by a local craftsman, and using eco friendly paints and finishings wherever possible. As even rural areas are moving with the times we now have a Fibre Broadband connection at the cottage.

We stayed here for a few days as a “home base” for day trips to Dartmoor, Exeter and the Devon coast. Rob greeted us on arrival and was a charming host. The cottage was clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable – we cooked in most nights and the kitchen was up to the task. We especially enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace. Parking is a breeze (immediately outside the cottage) and Honiton is only an 8-minute drive for supplies and antique shopping! Highly recommended.

Great location for a peaceful break
Property was really great. Location is far enough away to be peaceful, but still only a short drive to beaches,Great log burner to keep you warm, easy parking and easy to get to most places.Greendales, otter valley cafe, miller's farm shop.

Great place - Highly recommend
We stayed here in August 2023 for a week. The house is very nice and very well equipped. Excellent and easy check in process, good communication with host and great location to visit the Jurassic coast.

Truly amazing stay. The house was just perfect for me and my pup. Very cosy, warm and spotless! Lovely views. The owners really helpful and discrete. Loved seeing the goats every morning 🐐. I would definitely stay there again! 💞

Wonderful location.
This property is located in a very picturesque setting. We found it very easy to find using the postal code in the owner’s directions. We found the home very clean, well stocked and comfortable. The location was a great base from which we explored the area.

A perfect cottage.
A very comfortable cottage with everything you need. Lovely fresh eggs on arrival, two bathrooms and large fluffy towels made our stay extra special. A quiet area and waking up to amazing views and sunrises added to the charm. Our dogs loved the orchard which was a secure area for them. We enjoyed the wonderful countryside and the cottage was well situated for the coast too.

Beautiful cottage in rural location
This is such a lovely cottage set on a small farm in beautiful Stockland. The owners are very welcoming and allowed the children to feed the animals which they loved. The cottage has everything you would need and is perfect for a family of 5. It's a very central location with easy access to Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. Would recommend to all.

Excellent cottage stay
The cottage is really nice and cosy, feels like home. Stunning view over the hills and village, looks like a Christmas card scene with light fog and smoke from a nearby house. Brilliant log fire. The hosts were really friendly. Perfect experience.

A Winter Weekend Getaway
A wonderful cottage for a weekend away. It was perfect in every way, clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Nothing negative to say, and would recommend to everybody (we already have to our family). 10/10.
