Good location for Staircase Entrance of Olympic National Park

The activities provided were fun. We enjoyed the fire pit and ping pong the most. Hopefully the dishwasher is fixed now and the air vents are cleaned. We enjoyed our stay.

Well set up quiet cabin in the woods.

This cabin worked great for us. It is in a beautiful, secluded location. The lake was right there and what sounded like a creek in the back. It seems like an old family cabin, we were very comfortable and would stay there again.

Awesome cabin with lake access

We loved our stay. A great cabin with a well equipped kitchen and game room. Too bad I found out about the SNES when checking out… Access to the lake is super easy, too. There’s a nice playground and the views from the lakeside are awesome. There weren’t many other people around, which made it a very nice and tranquil experience. Would recommend!

Great getaway home, close to the lake!

Downstairs ping pong and darts were fun to have! Also the old school VHS player and Super Nintendo provided hours of nostalgic entertainment on a cloudy day! Nice propane BBQ grill on the deck. Lots of kitchenware made cooking a breeze. Perfect spot for a group to unwind!

Great home in a quiet neighborhood

House was spacious. Game room was fun for all ages. About a 10 minute walk to a beautiful alpine lake. Chilly to swim in, even in July but we knew that going into it. Highly recommend for a family or even 2 small families.

Lake Cushman and walking distance to the park.

This home was clean, 3 stories and perfect for a large group. Kids upstairs, parents in the middle and basement bedrooms. 2 showers with an amazing full flow shower head. Ample hot water after being in the lake all day. Our kids loved the ping pong table downstairs and never complained about crappy wifi anywhere in the house. We will rent the house next year if it’s available.

The house is cozy and the perfect size for seven people. It is well equipped, the beds were clean and comfortable, and we had a lot of fun in the game room. But for the price, we would have expected a little more maintenance. Everything inside the house was clean, but the entire outdoor area was unkempt. The lower deck in particular needs attention: spider webs everywhere, dirty seats, and overgrown. Please repair the dishwasher, the door lock to the upper deck, and the cabinet doors in the hallway.We were also unlucky that the air quality was poor due to the lBear Gulch forest fire. We could only stay outside by the lake from late afternoon onwards. At night and in the morning, the air was unhealthy. We informed Vbro about this, but unfortunately our concerns were not taken seriously. I would have expected more customer service and accommodation.

Over all a very beautiful place. The cleanliness wasn’t very clean. Beds very hard. And needed maybe more variety of pans. But over all I fell in love with the place and will be back if there’s availability….. Just pray it doesn’t rain the whole time. Lol

Great location, ok home.

Location of the home was fantastic! Essentially on the lake! And close enough to town. Home was ok. Cookware was old, burnt and sticky. Home was not cleaned as well. We saw dog hair all over the floor. Games such as ping pong, darts and air hockey was in subpar condition. If you’re looking at a home only and thinking of splitting this was many people, it would be a great value.

Not too bad, but old

The place was pretty nice to stay at if you don’t spend much time inside just to sleep in, but there is no AC and it got really hot at night especially on the top floor and the outdoor furniture downstairs was not cleaned and had spiderweb all other the chairs. The carpet and sofa had stains all over them and towels had random hair in them, but it was not too bad for the price. This place is only worth it just for the lake view and profit beach access. But I think on hot days this cabin would suck to stay in because of how hot it gets inside even with all of the windows open

Pros and Cons

The Pros: Quiet neighborhood. Nice desk and great grill to bbq. Walking distance to the park which our little kids loved. The layout of the house was nice, three levels and plenty of room for a whole family to get together. We liked playing ping pong at night and the VHS/DVD/gaming system was super fun and nostalgic. The Cons: The overall cleanliness could have been better and there was a strange smell in the main level bedroom. The carpet and sofas have stains, the cookware is old and needs replaced. The towels are in rough shape. We put sheets over the sofa just for sitting. Overall: This was one of the cheaper properties we looked at so the price reflected the experience. We were out exploring most of the day so it was fine for dinners and sleeping.

bad kitchen pans and coffee maker; house has a musty smell

The house was clean on the surface but has a musty smell and dirty carpets. The two frying pans are terroible and should be replaced with working non-stick ones. The coffee maker's carafe had to be propped up to drain coffee liquid into it; it should be replaced with a coffee maker that works properly. The DVD and VCR players aren't wired to the TV and the TV's controller had missing batteries. The lower patio and furniture were dirty and there was no broom for us to clean with. The surrounding neighborhood is nice, and the location to the private playground and swimming beach is excellent. We would recommend the property in the future.

For your information on Vacassa

Buyer beware. Charged 654.00 for 2 nights at the Alpine Home in Hoodsport. The rental portion was of the charge was 212.00 and 54.00 in taxes. The rest was a service charge of 227.00 and other charges I was in aware of. I feel like they are not up front with disclosing all of the changes before you buy and next time we will go with other services that are more reasonable and upfront with all charges.

Great house in a cool location

The only real issue we had during the trip was the fact that the front door lock did not work as advertised (I think it was a combination of the lock's keypad not being intuitive as well as the lock itself being sticky), which meant we had to call into Vacasa in order to get into the property. Once we finally got in and settled we had a great time, and really enjoyed the house..

Great home. Vacasa is evil

The house itself was lovely. Comfortable and a good location. The only issues that drop the rating to 4 stars were that the fridge doesn't work great and the keypad lock wasn't working right. Vacasa, on the other hand, is an AWFUL company. At one point on our trip we got locked out of the house (because the keypad wasn't working) in near freezing temps with insufficient clothes and without keys to even get into our car. After calling Vacasa multiple times and being told they would get someone out to help us, we finally got tired of waiting and found a way to break back into the house. Almost an hour later we FINALLY heard from the local manager who had only just then been notfied. It's WILDLY unacceptable to leave guests in a dangerous situation without responding or following up to see if they're safe. We will NEVER do business with Vacasa again after this experience.

Serene Cabin

We loved everything about our stay. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for the opportunity to relax and recharge. The cabin was clean, well stocked, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The game room is set up for hours of fun, it truly would be great for a family or group.

Lake getaway

Great location near private lake front park. Accomodated our family of 7 very nicely with dogs as well. Biggest negative was noisy “crunching” sound of bed on main floor
