"We enjoyed the beautiful historic hotel, with amazing views of the water! The rooms were comfortable, although we were there when it was very warm, and would have liked to have some fans. The staff did a nice job accommodating our request for rooms next door to each other. Amazing breakfast, nice swimming pool, wonderful location… We would definitely stay there again!"

"Good location for day trips to Bergen, Gol, and Flåm for Norway in a Nutshell This is a large hotel that hosts large tour groups. Thus some of the hallways and rooms are a bit worn. Breakfast was nice. There is decent public parking nearby that is free overnight. As with most of the country, restaurants close up early so plan accordingly."

"If you have a stopover in Voss at any point, Store Ringheim is the place to stay. Even though we only spent one night on our 10 day trip, this was by far our favorite accommodation. We got in at Voss Station and heard it was quite a hike to get up, so we reached out and they had someone pick us up and drop us back off in the shuttle with our luggage - so easy and convenient. "Simple and peaceful hotel. Perfect as a base for exploring the area. Conveniently located steps from the train station and an easy walk to the center of town as well as the lake. My room was spare yet very functional. It might have been tight for two people but it worked great for me as a solo traveler. The breakfast buffet was delightful. Highly recommended."
