"Overall a good location but parking was difficult. We were forced to use the Diamond parking lot on Howell St for overnight parking at a rate of $32. Then we were forced to locate street parking with a 2 hour time limit which meant that we had to move the vehicle multiple times during one of our rest days. "It was our first time in Hyatt Regency hotel. The hotel is huge, 46 floors. The location is close to the main shopping street, restaurants and the Paramount theater. The room was clean and well maintained. We stayed for two nights visiting Seattle for the weekend shows. For such short stay it was fine, but not for a longer stay. The main reason was the bed that was very soft (inner spring and pillow top). For a lot of people a soft bed is preferable, but not for people with back problems. A lot of hotels switched to more modern mattresses long ago. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel and one of them offers breakfast buffet. The food was freshly cooked and there were some choices for hot food, fruit and breakfast pastries. For the breakfast buffet 18% service charge included is not justified because the staff brings only coffee or tea compared to full service meal. The front desk staff was friendly, but the cleaning service did not come when it was scheduled. The hotel has a lot of conference facilities and is much more appropriate for business travelers."

"This was a great place for me and my sister and our families. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable, (which is not always the case with other places). The dining and kitchen were big enough for us to make breakfast and lunch and not be cramped. If we ever need to stay in seattle again. I will definitely come here."

"The condo itself was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed except coffee filters. It was walkable to some good restaurants/breweries and bakeries as well. A good location in general, in a pretty quiet residential neighborhood in the heart of the city. I was pleasantly surprised at how safe it felt. There were some unhoused people living close by, but they did not make us feel threatened at all. The listing noted that there is "on street parking" that is generally free, and that there was a Diamond garage "across the street." There was no onstreet parking available, and we had to lug our belongings approximately 2 blocks from a church parking lot, which we could pay to use because we didn't stay over a Sunday. The lot referred to in the listing was closed for construction. I would stay here again if I could take an Uber/Lyft. If I need to park a car, a standard hotel would be easier."

"Spotlessly clean and beautifully preserved, the place is gorgeous and in a fashionable neighborhood (Capitol Hill). Staff are helpful and don't miss the best bakery in Seattle just 2 blocks away. There is a convenient bus that takes you from 4th Ave and Pike to approximately 2 blocks from Gaslight. The room was comfy. It's a good choice."
