Welcome to theThe Deer Drop Inn
Seclusion, Seclusion, Seclusion!!! Welcome to The Deer Drop Inn where you are in the middle of nowhere, but in the middle of everything! Our 1800 sq foot cabin sits back in the woods on five private acres with no other cabins in sight. It is very private. The only neighbors around have fur or feathers. Our home is 2.6 miles from downtown Hulbert. There are many attractions that are within an hour of the cabin such as Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Newberry, Oswalds Bear Ranch and the Soo.
The living space is wide open and airy. The couch also pulls out into a bed. There will be plenty of seating for everyone as there are three tables with chairs. Roku streaming in the living room and the master bedroom. There are playing cards, card games and board games available to play if the weather is not cooperating. There is an expanding file and magazine rack that is full of brochures of area attractions, information and maps.
There is plenty of space for parking for snowmobile trailers. Hulbert is a main hub for the trail system and Hulbert Rd is actually part of the trail system. You can go anywhere in the U.P. from Hulbert via the trails.
New whole home stand-by generator added 2021. Have no fear of losing power at the house.

Home in the Woods
We had a wonderful family trip exploring all over Michigan. We wanted essential spot in the UP and this fit the bill. So nice to have three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Plenty of towels and blanket, blankets, and pillows. There are some spices in the cabinet and lots of coffee filters! You may want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner as there’s enough for one day. We loved having a washer and dryer to get our clothes, clean for the rest of the trip.Bring lots of insect repellent. I had no idea how many mosquitoes were waiting to warm us when we were trying to get inside! I guess Michigan is known for the mosquitoes in June and July. For the host, I would suggest a colander to drain pasta. You had about everything else we would need.Thank you for opening your home to us!

Great location for snowmobiling!

Perfect UP north retreat!
This property was even better than expected! As other reviews have said, the pictures do not do this place justice. It was very clean and home-y! It was the perfect place for us to recharge after exploring and sight seeing. The location was amazing, set back off the road for privacy but close enough to the highway to go exploring. We highly recommend The Deer Drop Inn and would definitely stay here again!

Everything wass wonderful
The house was amazing. Just as described. I didn't spend any time outside at the house because of mosquitos but that was expected. We mainly did sight seeing and rock hunting.
Had a problem with a bed leg that was broken but it was fixed the very next day. No air conditioning but the fans worked great. Saw deer, raccoon, chipmunks and a bear crossing the road on the next street over. I would definitely recommend.

Secluded and conveniently located
My family and I stayed at the Deer Drop Inn and had a great time! Everything was very clean. The host was great at communicating and gave us great advice for groceries and things. The house is in a very nice secluded areas but also close to the places we wanted to visit. It was great to explore during the day and have a nice home to enjoy our evenings together.

Great get away
Really enjoyed this home. Spacious, well stocked, pretty property, completely secluded. Living room decked out with cozy furniture and fireplaces, lots of tables and chairs for eating. Master bedroom is on the opposite side of home from the two other bedrooms. This arrangement allowed for some privacy between our two families. There is no Internet or cell service, and I frankly loved that.
Definitely recommend for a family+ looking for somewhere centrally located to visit Tachenomen Falls, Whitefish point, Pictured Rocks.

Great Place
The property of the Deer Drop Inn is nice, peaceful, quite, and not next to other busy properties. It was very nice to stay at. My kids wanted to watch movies but we couldn’t figure out to get the dvd player to work and their was no instructions that was it.

Beautiful home
