「This is a very well located hotel with stylishly furnished rooms and very comfortable beds. The kitchenettes in the rooms are handy - and there is a tesco express across the road. However, the first room we were allocated had an absolutely terrible damp smell. This was fine for a couple of nights, but we wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer because the room didn’t have...

Everything had been well thought out . Good enclosed garden great for our dog . Margaret the owner was very helpful , the property was in an excellent position for visiting the surrounding area and Kirk Hammerton itself was a beautiful village and we only wish we could have stayed longer !」

「The host has clearly invested a lot of money into the property, and the cottage is very cosy, tastefully decorated, and conveniently located.
However, we were advised by the host that, as long as my parents were able to use stairs, they shouldn’t have any issues. In hindsight, I would recommend being particularly careful if staying with young children, older people, or anyone with balance or mobility issues.
The stairs are narrow and steep, with a twist at the bottom as you enter the living...
