「Overall a great place to stay. Location is excellent, Birkdale Village has all the amenities you need. Apartment is good, well stocked and comfortable. Cleanliness could be improved on, however when brought to managers attention they offered to deal with it right away. Only drawback is people cleaning sidealks weekly with pressure washer very early inbthe morning. Overall would recommend.」

「The Squirrel Haven Cottage was an absolute delight for our needs! We were on a return trip from Georgia, and Lake Norman was conveniently located halfway between us. When I booked this cottage, I completely overlooked the fact that it was only suitable for two people. My mistake, as the listing clearly states. 「Check in process is a nightmare. Super slow. No proper reception. Manager never showed up or handled my pricing issues through my entire stay. Iron and board were supposed to be in the property. It was not there. Besides following multiple times, never got them. Had to get out in the night time to get my dress ironed for my meetings next day.
Apartment/suite smelled like paint or very new wood kind of. As soon as I entered, the smell was strong and it took a while to get used to.
