Lovely Holiday in a really good house

We were four of us - parents and two adult children - who spent a holiday in Huntingdon, while our children had to work from home part of the time. The house is spacious and very well furnished, even with desks, so that our children could work from home easily. Commuting to London twice was no problem at all. We enjoyed eating out on the patio. Discovering the really lovely surroundings (Hinchingbrooke Country Park is just 200 metres away - a really wonderful park, Portholme Meadows just a mile, the Fens for many tremendous hikes and birdwatching can easily be reached by car) brought an unexpected and great range of things to do. Our young people enjoyed short and long runs. We would come again!

We moved to the UK in August and stayed here while looking for our permanent rental. The location was great for us, with easy access to the necessities but also a short walk to an awesome park. There was off-street parking for both our vehicles, the kitchen was stocked well for cooking, and it was nice to have a washer/dryer combo. The neighbors were super nice as well. We enjoyed our stay and felt very comfy and safe the whole time.

Served its purpose

The property is well appointed though blinds broken in the master bedroom. Outside furniture basic and broken parasol. A few cobwebs about, spare linen left out. Easy access from parking spot at the back of the house. Lovely park 5 min walk from it. A bit expensive for the area.

It was a decent-sized house, well-equipped, comfortable, and in a good location. There is a but - the cleaner was still there when we arrived at 3.00pm, so we couldn't check in until 4.30pm. She was obviously rushed, and although she had made sure the bathrooms and kitchen were clean, there was rubbish left in the corners of some rooms, it felt a little tired in places, and there were no pillow or mattress protectors on any of the beds.
