Had a lovely week at the ALDAU and was blown away by home huge it is. The pool is an absolute beast! A great family spot with lots to do and great service and staff. The food wasn't especially amazing unless you were able to score a reservation to one of the restaurants on site, which was nearly impossible to do, and you could only go once if you could. The buffet was also huge and I suspect the size of it had an impact on the quality of food at times. There was a lot of construction that was happening in the older rooms which made it very loud and noisy in the latter part of the day when you were trying to sit on the deck and relax. The location to the Red Sea was excellent, but the snorkeling trips were very short for the $$. I would definitely go back again, but if just with a couple of people, I would probably chose a smaller resort in the end.
AS I found in all of Egypt however, the people and staff were some of the most polite and friendliest that I have met in all of my travels!
