Ikarian living with postcard picture view

Our family of 4 had an amazing time at the apartment! Martine & Nichola were kind and welcoming hosts to their beautiful home in Gilaliskari. We learned many important things about Ikarian life and culture. There were literally postcards in the souvenir shops with the amazing view we enjoyed every morning from our balcony! Over the past 20 years, Nichola has created his own garden of Eden with fruit trees and vegetables along every terrace level. We enjoyed our day exploring the island, surfing and swimming at the beach, shopping in the local markets and relaxing at the apartment. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Scenic views

Idyllic location. Host very informative during our stay. Our third night was comfortable sleeping but earlier sleeping was difficult without air conditioning as advertised. Too hot. We were travelling between the Aegean islands and therefore relying on using the washing machine but despite being advertised there is no machine. Martine did offer to wash our clothes but I’d prefer to wash my own. There was no microwave as advertised. No essentials provided on arrival. We stayed out from morning until late evening so didn’t use the electric oven. You need to switch the control on in the consumer unit we discovered on departure. Nice little restaurants in the port and village.

Un angolo di paradiso a Gialiskari

La casa è molto confortevole, dotata di tutto, con un'ottima cucina attrezzata e una bellissima terrazza con una splendida vista sul mare con sullo sfondo il paesino di Armeniatis. E infine la casa non sarebbe la stessa senza Martine, la padrona di casa, gentilissima e sempre disponibile per qualsiasi necessità o informazione o anche solo per fare due chiacchere. Torneremo senz'altro ! Grazie di tutto Martine !

Helle, freundliche Unterkunft in grüner Umgebung mit einem tollen Blick von der großen Terrasse. Die Hanglage oberhalb des Ortes bedeutet allerdings auch Abhängigkeit vom Auto, da der Weg zum Strand besonders bei Hitze zu Fuß zu lang und anstrengend ist. Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und stets ansprechbare Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Fantastisch !!!

Ende Juli 2019 verbrachten wir unseren Urlaub als Familie bei Martine und Nikolas. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und gleich mit hausgemachter Marmelade verwöhnt. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist einfach wunderbar!!! Die Wohnung entspricht der Beschreibung und uns fehlte es an Nichts. Die Vermieter waren sehr hilfsbereit, herzlich und über Ihre Restauranttipps waren wir immer sehr dankbar.

Amazing Location and the best views

After spending 10 days in Spain, we were looking forward to downtime in Greece. We were not disappointed! Martine was waiting for us upon arrival to the amazing home. The description was spot on. Pictures and words do not do this place justice! The sunsets are magical. It is centrally located for you to spend the day on the beach (within sight of the place), yoga at the Egg, visit the Monetary, drive to the hot springs of Therma and even visit magical Seychelles Beach. We ended our touring at the local winery. Martine and Nicolas were very welcoming and even made us homemade apricot jam and lemonade fresh from their garden. We will definately be back and will stay with Martine.
