"Overall it is a good choice to stay. Everything is well maintained. Except the wall is pretty thin. I heard the noise coming from both of the adjacent rooms very clearly every night. Needed the staffs to involve. This may not be a big issue if you are a deep sleeper or if you are comfortable to use earplugs."

"As I know some changes are being made, its a process and some things are limited however, the bed really is so darn comfortable and Sam has always been so very nice. Thank you for always being kind and chatting as I work to move to the area soooon!! A place to go back to is great while I get to know a few people around. Ty"

"Rooms clean, check in easy, staff occomading to our needs. The only down side is the floor we were on the floor was half new and fresh the other half was poorly lit and carpet stained and dirty with dated wall paper. If they upgraded the hallways it would be 5 star."

"Very well appointed room. Decor was artsy-modern. Excellent location with places to sit and wait for rideshare vehicles. Unfortunately, I did expect some hospitality touches such as bottled water being provided in the room or a efficient way to have dishes cleared away after room service, for the price point. However, none of that was present or evident. Kitchen of the attached redo closed earlier than expected, even on a holiday Sunday. Overall, lovely stay"

Fort Pontchartrain Detroit, a Wyndham Hotel

"We had a great time at the hotel. I am a detroiter and remember hearing people talk about the Pontchatrain in high school. It has been renovated and I was surprised at how modern it was when I got there. Staff was great. They gave me a river view suite for the same price as the queen suite i paid for. I did not like the fact that parking was valet only and it was $45. I am very picky about strangers driving my car. So I found a nearby garage a negotiated a lower price and got them to allow me park it myself. We were on the 22nd floor with a great view. The room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was good. The only unfortunate thing was the rooftop restaurant Top of the Pontch was supposed to be open on Wed night, our last night there, and at the last minute it did not open. So we had a to go out on the town, which turned out to be nice. The two areas that could have been a cleaner within the hotel was the pool deck area - probably doesn't get used much. Behind the toilet on the wall in our room could have been cleaner also. We had a great time. Very relaxing."
