"The first room I was given was dirty and misleading by the pictures I have videos and photos to prove. Forcing me to upgrade which I paid for and still found random stains and hair in the new bedroom that was modern the staff was amazing but the old rooms felt like a scam to make you upgrade. Read the reviews to make sure it doesn’t happen to you."

"This is a great hostel in Rotorua. The staff are so friendly and showed us round on arrival. They have recently renovated the place and continue to put money into it and it shows. Everything was super clean and the heater in the room was excellent. Great value stay. Thanks :)"

"Stayed one night at Millennium Rotorua with the family. The location is definitely the best part — very close to Polynesian Spa and only about a 10-minute walk to the shops and restaurants. But honestly, the hotel itself just felt like a basic room for a very high price. I really don’t understand why many hotels in New Zealand lack simple standard amenities that are common in Asia. No complimentary toothbrush, no bottled water — just the room and that’s it. Also poor quality bedding. so old and uncomfortable When you travel through Asia, even cheaper hotels often provide much better service, more comfort, and more thoughtful details. Here, it feels expensive and unpleasant for what you actually get."
