"The house was just beautiful, with high quality furniture, appliances, fixtures and finishes. The kitchen was well equiped and we were even able to prepare a Christmas meal. Beds were super comfortable with lovely soft linens and duvets. Simon and his wife live in the basement of the home so we were bit nervous about distrurbing them, especially after 9 PM. I don't recommend playing music, TV or loud conversation after 9 pm! I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have kids. "

"We are five long-time friends that look for a space to spend a few days together over the year, and we found a lovely version of it here! The open concept living, dining & kitchen space was perfect for us to be together while cooking and hanging out, and we each had our own large and comfy bedroom which was such a treat. Simon was extremely responsive and communicative with all of our questions as they came up before and during our stay, which was very reassuring. A well equipped, cozy home for our late autumn getaway!"

"The house was clean and generally as described, but there were a few disappointments. We chose this rental because it was listed as having a fenced yard and we were traveling with dogs, but the yard was not fully enclosed—there were wide open areas on each side of the house with no gates, so we couldn’t safely let the dogs out. The beds also weren’t fully made; each only had a fitted sheet and comforter, with pillow shams instead of standard pillowcases and no top sheet or blanket. Lastly, one of the main-floor bedroom doors wasn’t even attached to hinges—it was just propped in the doorway. Thankfully, we didn’t need that room, but it would’ve been an issue if we had a full group."
