Luxury Guesthouse

  • Ideally located close to the millennial city of Bayeux and only a few kilometers away from the American D-Day beaches, Le Clos de Blisse offers the perfect base to discover the historical and cultural treasures of Normandy.

    Juno Lodge, Utah House and Omaha Mansion are the three guesthouses available within the 8-hectare property. With no vis-à-vis, each benefit from its own private garden and terrace.

    All are state-of-the-art renovations of 18th century buildings dating back from the French Revolution. Whilst retaining many original features, they provide the highest modern comfort (underfloor heating, wifi, apple tv).

Lovely Stay in peaceful location. Close to all D-day sights and easy to get to Bayeux too. Kiss loves the Indoor pool and rowing on the pond.

Fantastic stay :)

We stayed in the Utah apartment for a week and followed one of Samuelle's guided tours to the American cemetery and Pointe du Hoc.We had a wonderful time and can highly recommend the place.

We had a wonderful time in Isigny. The house was beauitful, with wonderful grounds and facilities. Samuelle was a fantastic host, very warm and welcoming and easy to communicate with. We definitely hope to come back.

This property was a lovely place to stay when visiting Normandy for a week. The facilities are excellent and the house is full of characterThe only negative was the local village doesnt have any shops, boulangeries or local walks so be prepared to drive a short distance for these conveniencesHowever the stay in the countryside more than made up for it and it is an excellent base to visit the Normandy beaches, Bayeux and the cotentin peninsula

Lovely property

Excellent stay - very nice design, clean, good beds, cozy kitchen. Stairs upstairs are tricky and not great in the dark. Sam is an excellent host and great tour guide. Would definitely stay here again.

relaxing oasis

The property is beautiful, an oasis of calm in the French county side. There was everything we could have needed including the lovely heated pool. We enjoyed day trips to some beautiful places, Normandy beaches, museums, the medieval town of Bayeux, castles, cathedrals and of course lovely French cafes.Our lovely hostess couldn't do enough to make our stay wonderful!

Excellent property and host

A great location to explore Normandy, the house was as described and we were really comfortable here. The pool was excellent and always kept clean and warm. Our host was always availabkle if we had any questions or needed advice and we felt well looked after.

We had an absolutely amazing stay in Utah house. 2 weeks of pure bliss. The property was so clean, the beds amazingly conformable. Nothing was too much for our wonderful host Samuelle. We loved the ducks, geese, bats and wildlife. We especially loved Buddy the dog who visited us each day. We arrived on the Saturday and didn't realise the supermarkets aren't open in the afternoons on Sundays abd restaurants were closed so had no food for dinner. Samuelle gave us some of her food which was so kind of her.The facilities in the property were as described and the pool and sauna were fantastic too. It was an ideal base to explore all the D-Day sites and the local Isigny-sur-Mer caramels site. I would definitely recommend this place and would book it again in the future. We packed so much into our 2 weeks and had time to relax in the garden belonging to the property. It's a real piece of paradise in the French Norman countryside.

Beautiful Retreat in Heart of Normandy

We loved our stay in Samuelle’s beautifully restored farmhouse. She is a fantastic host- offering up anything you need to make your stay more enjoyable. The location is perfect for visiting nearby D-Day beaches, Bayeux and other sites. The garden is a tranquil setting to relax and chat about the day’s adventures over a glass of local cider. Thank you, Samuelle for hosting us. We loved our time there!

Eine schöne Woche im Utah-Haus

Wir haben eine schöne Woche auf dem ehemaligen Gutshof verbracht. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zum D-Day waren von hier aus sehr gut zu erreichen. Sowohl das Haus als auch der Pool und der Garten waren sehr gepflegt. Samuelle ist eine sehr freundliche Vermieterin.

Beautiful property

We had a fabulous week staying in Utah House. The location was perfect for all the WW2 museums, beaches and villages.Samuelle is the perfect host and greeted us on arrival, giving us lots of information about the property. The grandkids loved the pool and being visited by Buddy the Cocker Spaniel and the ducks every day. There is everything you need in the house and it has some lovely items relating to the war in various rooms. The gardens are gorgeous too with outdoor furniture and loungers.Would 100% return and recommend if visiting this area. Thank you Samuelle for an amazing stay.

Beautiful Accommodation

Absolutely loved our stay. We found plenty to do with our 3 boys , ages 11,13 & 13. Boys loved the pool! Samuelle is a wonderful host. Visited an adventure park about 20/25 mins away. Easy to drive around too with supermarket , petrol station and town only a short drive away. Even a Mc Ds which the kids were very impressed about ! Quiet , beautiful location. Visited some wonderful places just a little drive away. Thankyou for sharing your wonderful home with us. Clean accomadation, with everything we needed.

Most beautiful home and wonderful host

We spent a week in the Utah house in June and were able to take a look at the omaha mansion and the bakery lodging as well. All three are spectacular. Our family of 5 had plenty of room and the home was immaculate. The pool is beautiful and the kids loved rowing the row boat around the pond. Samuelle has done a top notch job in designing, decorating and furnishing these homes. They are rustic but refined and give you a sense of history while still having modern luxuries blended seamlessly into the homes. Having fresh bread and croissants delivered from the bakery in the morning was delightful. Samuelle and her family are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend staying in one of Samuelle's beautiful homes for your visit to Normandy.

Très bon séjour

Merci à Samuelle pour les bonnes adresses de restaurants et tous les petits à côté. Très jolie région pour pouvoir observé les cigognes et aussi faire du vélo. Nous regrettons déjà la fraîcheur de la maison.

Perfection in Normandy

We have just returned from an unforgettable stay at Clos De Bliss in Utah House made even better by Samuelle’s unswerving enthusiasm to ensure you have the perfect stay. The house itself is beautiful and has been very tastefully decorated right down to lovely little additions like the typewriter and old phone in one of the rooms - inspired by war correspondence which used to take place in the property. The garden is just beautiful and well manicured, plus the addition of the kids swing and slide was a very welcome addition too. We also loved our visits from Buddy, the woolly cocker spaniel who the kids also adored. The swimming pool and sauna are very well maintained and a day didn’t go by where we didn’t take the kids for a swim. Samuelle herself is a gracious host and nothing was an issue. Due to fuel prices going up, the baker could not deliver fresh bread anymore so Samuelle delivered it herself which we really appreciated. Fresh bread and pastries delivered to your home each morning was a great way to start the day. We were also fortunate enough to have a d-day tour with Samuelle at the American cemetery which we would highly recommend. We really couldn’t fault any aspect of our trip and we hope to return as soon as we can.

Heerlijk verblijf op een rustgevende en idyllische locatie

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad op een prachtige landelijke locatie. De uiterst vriendelijke gastvrouw heeft deze boerderij omgetoverd tot een luxe verblijf. De accommodatie was van alle gemakken voorzien. Alle voorzieningen en historische trekpleisters zijn goed bereikbaar vanaf de boerderij. Wij raden een ieder een verblijf bij Samuelle van harte aan.
